In announcing its 2022/23 Season today, Boston Lyric Opera has unveiled an expanded, year-round return to stages throughout Boston.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC) and Artistic Director Steve Maler, together with the City of Boston and Mayor Kim Janey, have announced the Company's plans to return to live performance this summer with its 25th anniversary production of Free Shakespeare on the Common.

CSC  is participating in Downtown Boston Business Improvement District's “Stage Windows” initiative, which features installations in storefront windows created by four top Boston-area performing arts organizations.

It is a war story that plays out on the battlefield of an intense, intimate friendship, where the psychological wounds are more damaging and enduring than the physical ones. Steve Maler's skillful direction unleashes a dazzling palette of colorful performances, each actor contributing a broad brush stroke to the communal masterpiece.

Anthony got the part, but Jonathan died suddenly the night before the musical's off-Broadway premiere.
