The sixth annual Detroit Improv Festival arrives Wednesday, August 10 with performances and workshops continuing through Sunday, August 14. The festival will take place over five venues in Detroit and Ferndale with more than 50 improv troupes from across the US and Canada performing in nearly 20 shows. A complete Festival schedule follows below.

FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade will present the 10th Annual FRIGID Festival at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery) andUNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place between 1st Avenue and Avenue A), February 15-March 6. The 'Pump Boys' sell high octane on Highway 57 in Grand Ole Opry country and the 'Dinettes', Prudie and Rhetta Cupp, run the Double Cupp diner next door. To look at it, you wouldn't know that this little stop on the highway is where all the action is, but when the boys get the guitars, piano, bass and, yes, kitchen utensils revved up, you won't want to be anywhere else. 'Pump Boys and Dinettes' is packed with highly entertaining toe-tappers such as 'Drinkin' Shoes,' 'Farmer Tan' and 'The Night Dolly Parton Was Almost Mine!'

Mogolov presents the world premiere of Dumber Faster at the 16th annual New York International Fringe Festival today, Aug 12-Aug 25, 2012.

Detroit area natives, Joshua Funk (MTV's Wild & Out), Nyima Funk, Marc Evan Jackson, Keegan Michael Key (Key & Peele), Maribeth Monroe (Workaholics) and Jaime Moyer will return to Detroit from Los Angeles for the innaugural Detroit Improv Festival beginning Wednesday night in Ferndale.
