New Paradigm Theatre (NPT), a company well-known for its inventive productions that are presented with multi-cultural, multi-generational and multi-gendered casting has chosen a community nonprofit that echoes the themes in their upcoming live theatre production of Grease.

NPT's signature event, So Ya Wanna Be A Broadway Star (October 2, 2021 11-3pm) is a chance for singers and actors from age 8 to adult to audition and receive professional feedback from Broadway and film casting directors, agents and producers on the lawn!

Today on Leading Ladies is Jodi Stevens- a Broadway veteran from shows such as Urban Cowboy and Jekyll and Hyde.

27 Days is an original play written by 18 year old Talia Hankin, a New Paradigm Theatre youth board member, from Newtown, CT. It centers around an undocumented husband and father of two young daughters, who suddenly discovers that he is being deported in 27 days. The play explores the pitfalls of the immigration and deportation systems and how those systems affect both immigrants and U.S. citizens. It also asks the question: What would you do if you had 27 days to leave your home, to leave the life you have built, to leave your family, friends, and community behind?

This episode features: Paul Bogeav- a music director-producer, arranger and composer. He supervised and conducted the music for the Academy Award winning film CHICAGO and was Executive Producer of its GRAMMY Award winning soundtrack. 

This episode features: Tamara Tunie who starred for 15 seasons as Medical Examiner Dr. Melinda Warner in the top-rated series 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.' Tunie, also, starred as Marie Van Der Veen, the matriarch and the "moral fiber" of a Native American tribe, on Sundance TV's THE RED ROAD. COMING SOON, Tunie stars in AMC's new series DIETLAND and the BBC/Netflix political drama "The Forgiving Earth".   She also appeared in the highly visible role of Alberta Green in season one of the hit series '24', as well as guest appearances on "Better Call Saul", "Blue Bloods", "Billions", "Alpha House", "Elementary" "Survivor's Remorse", "Zoo", "The Good Wife", 'Law and Order,' 'Sex and the City,' and 'NYPD Blue",  to name a handful.
