Birmingham Hippodrome has announced record attendance figures for this year’s pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk, with 120,000 people having seen the show during its six-week run in the city. The figures make Jack and the Beanstalkthe theatre’s best attended pantomime in over 20 years.

Legend-dairy queen of the Black Country and Birmingham Hippodrome Pantomime star Doreen Tipton lit up the city sky when she turned on the Jewellery Quarter Christmas Lights on Friday evening (17 November), followed by a spectacular firework display.

The Theatre Royal Glasgow has announced that the UK tour of 42nd STREET is coming to the venue from Monday 21 August to Saturday 26 August 2023.
