From food, entertainment, and nightlife entrepreneurs Darren Sussman and Roman Gambourg (FEN Group), SAMOVARCHIK, a new fast-casual establishment specializing in traditional Soviet food made fresh, delicious, and affordable, has announced a Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 special event open to the public on Thursday, October 19 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at 11 Stanton Street.

'Drunkle Vanya,' Three Day Hangover's daring adaptation of Chekhov's 'Uncle Vanya,' is extending at Russian Samovar, 256 West 52nd Street, through March 4.  The six-character interactive and immersive production, in which the audience literally melts into the furniture of the decadently appointed Tolstoy Lounge, started an 8-week run on November 10, found its footing, and has now added eight more weeks through March 4.   Adapted and directed by Lori Wolter Hudson, and produced by Three Day Hangover, with Roman Gambourg, Darren Sussman, and Misha von Shats, 'Drunkle Vanya' will open officially on Friday February 3 at 7:30pm.

Ars Nova announces Nova Ball Remix, the non-profit's winter gala, which will take place on Monday, December 5 at Capitale (130 Bowery). Nova Ball Remix will celebrate Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 and the Broadway debuts of its writer and composer Dave Malloy, director Rachel Chavkin and originating producer Ars Nova. The current tally, as of 8:30am, is 235 backers, who have pledged $36,899 of the $250,000 goal, with 15 hours to go.

Entertainment Weekly writes that the producers of off-Broadway's NATASHA, PIERRE AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 are planning a film adaptation of the interactive, operatic stage spectacle and will launch a Kickstarter campaign this coming Tuesday, February 11, to help fund the venture. The goal is currently set for $500,000.
