Summer Movies At Sarasota Opera House To Begin May 12, 2023


Sarasota Opera has announced the lineup for the 2023 Summer Classic Movies at the Opera House. The Classic Movies at the Opera House series featuring many beloved movies will open on Friday, May 12th at 7:30 pm with 2001: A Space Odyssey. Throughout the summer and into the fall, featured movies will include films ranging from the 1930's to the 1990's. Tickets will be $12 and will go on sale starting on Wednesday, May 3. Additional movie titles are detailed below.

Patchogue Theatre Announces Two New Board Members


Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts (PTPA) recently announced that Michael Rubenstein and Roger Smithhave joined the volunteer board of directors for the not-for-profit, 1100 seat venue that in December celebrated 20 years since the 95-year-old venue was saved from the demolition by the Incorporated Village of Patchogue.

On June 1, Artistry Music, A Mack Ave Label will release Soul Side of Town, Tower of Power's 25th album- a cranial-crushing funk amalgamation of soul, vintage R&B, groove, pop and rock.  It's the centerpiece for a celebratory 50th Anniversary campaign that includes the re-release of four hard to find independent productions  The East Bay Archive Vol. 1 (a 1973 live recording from Boston), Oakland Zone (a 2008 release celebrated for the return of drummer David Garibaldi after several years away), Great American Soulbook (an all-star affair of soul classics featuring guests such as Joss Stone, Tom Jones, Sam Moore and Huey Lewis), and 40th Anniversary: Live at The Fillmore in San Francisco (a deluxe multi-disc CD/DVD collector's item loaded with great new live renditions of hits plus interviews with alumni past and present).

Warner Bros. Television Announces WonderCon 2018 Schedule


Warner Bros. Television (WBTV) and Warner Bros. Animation (WBA) unleash their heroes, DC Super Heroes and antiheroes (both animated and live action), as well as a fully sparkled Unikitty, when four WBTV series and three WBA series attend the fan fest in Anaheim March 23-25. Special Video Presentations, panels and Q&A sessions with The 100 (premiering Tuesday, April 24 at 9/8c The CW), DC Super Hero series Teen Titans Go! (Fridays 6/5c Cartoon Network) and Unikitty! (Fridays 6:30/5:30c Cartoon Network) take place on Friday, March 23. Fans will be treated to the exclusive world premiere screening of the new animated digital series Constantine, followed by an out of-this-world session for the new super series Krypton (premiering Wednesday, March 21, at 10/9c on SYFY) on Saturday, March 24. The weekend finishes with electrifying sizzle on Sunday, March 25, with exclusive sneak peek screenings of upcoming episodes of Lucifer (Mondays 8/7c FOX) and Black Lightning (Tuesdays 9/8c The CW).

The 18th Havana Film Festival New York (HFFNY) showcases the diversity of Latino voices and stories in a program that includes over 35 films. This year, HFFNY pays homage to one of Cuba's foremost forces in animation and storytelling, Juan Padron, and the late Argentine director Eliseo Subiela.
