Rod A. Lansberry is the Artistic Producer of the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities. Producing Broadway musicals and plays since 1976, this multi-award winning organization is considered one of the premiere professional theaters in Colorado. The Arvada Center is located the Denver metro area and produces all its work in-house.

BWW Review: Arvada Center's KINKY BOOTS is Filled with Heart and Sole


Kinky Boots is just one of those shows you can't help but leave feeling just a little sparklier. Based on the British 2005 film of the same name, Kinky Boots follows Charlie Price, who inherits his family's multigenerational shoe factory from his deceased father. In order to keep the business alive, Charlie partners with a drag queen named Lola to produce heels that can withstand the weight of a male figure.

The Colorado Theatre Guild Presents The 13th Annual Henry Award Nominations


The Colorado Theatre Guild's 13th Annual Henry Awards will take place Monday, July 23, 2018 at the Lone Tree Arts Center, located at 10075 Commons St. Lone Tree, CO 80124. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and the awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., followed by a reception at the Lone Tree Arts Center. Tickets are $35 for CTG members, $40 non-members or $45 at the door. The Arvada Center has announced its 2018-2019 season, a diverse line-up of plays and musicals. The three musical and four play season includes a world premiere play, two regional premieres, and a Broadway smash-hit. The season also marks the third year of the Black Box Repertory Theatre, a company of actors who will perform three of the Black Box Theatre's four plays in repertory. The 2018-19 Theatre Season is sponsored by Lutheran Medical Center.

JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT Coming to Arvada Center for the Holidays


The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities has announced it will celebrate the holidays with the critically acclaimed Broadway musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The production, directed by Gavin Mayer opens today, November 17 at 7:30 p.m. and runs through December 23.

A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD Returns to the Arvada Center


The children's theatre production A Year With Frog and Toad returns to the Arvada Center this fall, running October 13 December 29, 2017. The musical is adapted from the beloved Frog and Toad series of books by Arnold Lobel, and is suitable for all ages.
