Today Nelda Studios, an Austin, Texas-based media company and philanthropic organization that lifts, nurtures and expands opportunities for creativity and the arts, announces its official public launch. Philanthropists Karl and Nelda Buckman began producing media content in 2018. Compelled by diminishing support for the arts, they founded Nelda Studios in 2022 with a broader mission to support art and creativity through original media productions, philanthropy, and community outreach.

Worship My Organ, a long-running tradition during the New Orleans Jazz Fest season, will return in 2022 with a soul-cleansing, “daze between” blowout at the new One Eyed Jacks on Tuesday, May 3rd alongside Adam Deitch & Friends.

Live For Live Music has announced that The Funk Sessions will head to New Orleans on Tuesday, October 12th during the “daze between” Jazz Fest weekends.

As the jazz world slowly emerges from the more than year-long pandemic, the New Orleans-born alto saxophonist Donald Harrison – the critically-acclaimed, innovative musician with four decades of experience as an instrumentalist, sideman and leader who has worked with everyone from Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers and salsa legend Eddie Palmieri, to the legendary rapper Notorious B.I.G. – unleashed a flurry of new projects, along with some prominent news features.

 High Sierra Music Festival's famed late night venues will be filled with music fans once again for this year's late-night shows from July 4th to July 7th in Quincy, CA.  Ticketed separately from the main festival, High Sierra late nights offer festival-goers a chance to party into the wee hours of the morning with their favorite bands. HSMF's two late-night venues, High Sierra Music Hall and the Funk'n Jamhouse, set intimate stages for unforgettable parties, jams, and collaborations. This year is no different. Thursday night, July 4th, features The Polish Ambassador and Templo in the High Sierra Music Hall and The New Mastersounds with Star Kitchen in the Funk'n Jamhouse. Friday's Music Hall show brings the New Orleans funk of Galactic together with Diggin Dirt while Manic Focus and Big Something hold things down at the Jamhouse. Fans might have to make a hard decision on Saturday night— Karl Denson's Tiny Universe and Nth Power at the Music Hall, or PNUMA (live) and TAUK in the Jamhouse. Sunday's late-night show will be the last bit of music played over 4th of July Weekend. Leftover Salmon will kick things off at High Sierra Music Hall and John Kadlecik's Fellowship of The Wing will close things out, surely leaving fans eager for High Sierra Music Festival 2020. 

High Sierra Music Festival, held July 4-7 in Quincy, CA, is proud to announce more artist additions for 2019. In addition to the previously announced, already show-stopping lineup, HSMF is pleased to welcome independent-music legends Dispatch to the top of the festival's bill. The announcement also includes festival-favorites Steel Pulse, Manic Focus, Pnuma (Live), Too Many Zoos, Tauk, and Natalie Cressman. Keeping with the collaborative history HSMF is known for,Stanton Moore and Skerik reunite as the Emerald Quintet featuring Scott Metzger, Robert Walter and Chris Stillwell in celebration of the 20th “emerald” anniversary of their first JazzFest performance, and John Kadlecik brings his“Fellowship of The Wing” project featuring Jay Lane, Reed Mathis, and Todd Stoops; a pair of sure-to-be reminisced sets. Guatemalan songstress Gaby Moreno and funky-blues-rock rowdies Andy Frasco and the U.N. have also been added to the lineup. 

#EduHam is a series of HAMILTON Wednesday matinees made available to New York City schools with a high concentration of students from low-income families for the ticket price of only $10. This educational partnership, made possible through a $1.46 million grant by The Rockefeller Foundation, is not only providing 20,000 NYC public school students with the opportunity to see HAMILTON on Broadway, but provides educational material by Gilder Lehrman to incorporate material from the musical into the American History curriculum.

The festivities for Brooklyn Comes Alive's fourth installment are right around the corner, and today, the festival is excited to release the daily schedule of events taking place at Brooklyn Bowl, Music Hall of Williamsburg and Rough Trade on September 29th.

On Saturday, September 29th, 2018, the one-of-a-kind music festival known as Brooklyn Comes Alive is taking over three beloved Williamsburg, Brooklyn neighborhood venues - Rough Trade, Music Hall of Williamsburg and Brooklyn Bowl. Aside from the powerhouse lineup encompassing members of Lettuce, The Disco Biscuits, Joe Russo's Almost Dead, The Meters, Turkuaz, Snarky Puppy and more, this year welcomes the addition of Jam Cruise's staple Jam Room, for its first-ever edition on land.

Last week, the fourth annual Brooklyn Comes Alive announced their September 29th return to Brooklyn's beloved Williamsburg neighborhood for a music marathon takeover at Brooklyn Bowl, Music Hall of Williamsburg and the latest addition, Rough Trade. Today, the one-of-a-kind festival lineup was revealed exclusively on SiriusXM by radio personality and industry insider Stef Scamardo, who also announced SiriusXM Jam On curator Ari Fink as the event's official host.

Phish bassist Mike Gordon returns to the road with his band this fall. Unlike previous projects, the goal was to put together a band that would be in it for the long haul. Guitarist and longtime collaborator Scott Murawski and Mike searched the nooks and crannies of this land for players to complete the outfit. Scott can rip guitar to no end, and he belts out with the kind of voice that at once sounds like your best friend and like the deep backwoods soul and grit of a true American hobo hero, too cool to talk in normal small-talk.

The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra presents master works from Mussorgsky, Ravel and Paganini during the BNY Mellon Grand Classics weekend, "Pictures at an Exhibition," March 31 and April 2 at Heinz Hall.
