The cast is today announced for ‘Busman’s Honeymoon’, a whodunnit with thrills and humour by Dorothy L. Sayers & Muriel St. Clare Byrne, directed by Brian Blessed at the Mill at Sonning Theatre.

Frank Giordano, President of The Philly POPS, will receive the prestigious Crystal Award from the Union League of Philadelphia, November 16, 2021. The Crystal Award honors individuals for their service to the arts and culture in the Philadelphia community.

The multi-purpose pop-up events space, The Landing Hub, is unveiled today (Wednesday 20 October). A new musical stage adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s legendary novel The Great Gatsby is headed for the stage, with a new score from Grammy Award-nominated international rock star of Florence + the Machine Florence Welch and Grammy Award nominee Thomas Bartlett.

GLOW festival illuminated the borough and shared a message of hope and togetherness.

As part of a country-wide tour, a 14-foot-high illuminated Peace Poem by artist and poet Robert Montgomery will be parking up at Rothbury Hall in Greenwich from 6th - 13th December (not 9th & 10th). The mobile artwork is the start of Paper Peace, a year-long programme of art and events from renowned outdoor arts company, Emergency Exit Arts.

The St. George Theatre announces its first-ever classic movie series for 2019 entitled "Better on the Big Screen".  Sponsored by Williams Eye Works and Borough Five Pictures, the series will present twelve iconic films on the theatre's "big screen" over the course of the year to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the historic former movie palace which opened in 1929.

SAG-AFTRA announced that members Marsha Hunt, Norman Lloyd, June Lockhart and Barbara Perry will be recipients of the SAG-AFTRA Founders Award for their historic contributions to the union. The special tribute will be presented Saturday during the SAG-AFTRA National Board plenary and honors early members of SAG-AFTRA's predecessor unions, SAG and AFTRA, who have provided meritorious service to fellow members.

Stage and screen star, Patricia Morison died today at the age of 103 at home in Los Angeles of natural causes. A stage icon and legend best known for her starring roles in Cole Porter's Kiss Me Kate and The King & I opposite Yul Brynner, she established an indelible mark in films with a reputation as a the villainous femme fatale with large blue eyes and extremely long, dark hair that made her a favorite of studios and fans alike. 

Today we celebrate the birth of one of the stage's greatest legends, Angela Lansbury!

The Original Theatre Company and Salisbury Playhouse in association with Eastbourne Theatres will present the national tour of Emlyn Williams's psychological thriller, NIGHT MUST FALL, directed by Luke Sheppard and starring Gwen Taylor as Mrs Bramson, Daragh O'Malley as Inspector Belsize, Niamh McGrady as Olivia and Will Featherstone as Dan. The tour will begin at Devonshire Park Theatre in Eastbourne on 19 August, with a National press night on Wednesday 7 September at Salisbury Playhouse.

Gloria DeHaven, best known for her feature roles in the MGM movie musicals during the golden age of Hollywood, has passed away at the age of 91.
