National tours include, Sweet Charity, Urinetown, Man of La Mancha and Jesus Christ Superstar. THE EYES OF TAMMY FAYE Starring Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield Begins Production

 Fox Searchlight Pictures announced today that principal photography on THE EYES OF TAMMY FAYE is underway in Charlotte, North Carolina. The film is written by Abe Sylvia (Dead to Me, DIRTY GIRL) and directed by Michael Showalter (THE BIG SICK; HELLO, MY NAME IS DORIS), and stars Jessica Chastain (MOLLY'S GAME, ZERO DARK THIRTY) and Andrew Garfield (HACKSAW RIDGE, SILENCE). The film is based on Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato's acclaimed 2000 documentary of the same name chronicling the dynamic ascent and subsequent demise and redemption of televangelists Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker as described by Tammy Faye herself.

Principal Photography Begins on READY OR NOT with Samara Weaving, Mark O'Brien

Fox Searchlight Pictures Presidents of Production, Film and Television Matthew Greenfield and David Greenbaum announced that principal photography on READY OR NOT has begun in Toronto, Canada.  The film stars Samara Weaving (THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI, “Picnic at Hanging Rock”), Adam Brody (CHIPS, SLEEPING WITH OTHER PEOPLE), Mark O'Brien (ARRIVAL, “Halt and Catch Fire”), with Henry Czerny (“Sharp Objects,” THE A-TEAM) and Andie MacDowell (FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL, SEX, LIES, AND VIDEOTAPE). Of the Radio Silence team (SOUTHBOUND), Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin are directing with Chad Villella executive producing. The script is written by Guy Busick (URGE) & Ryan Murphy (MINUTES PAST MIDNIGHT). The film is being produced by Tripp Vinson (THE PRODIGY, EXORCISIM OF EMILY ROSE) and James Vanderbilt (THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS, ZODIAC).

Connecticut Repertory Theatre to Present NUEVO CALIFORNIA

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) will stage Nuevo California to open its Studio Works Series for the 2016-2017 season. Six world premiere plays and four new adaptations seen first by Chicago audiences were among those receiving nominations by The Jeff Awards Committee. 178 nominations in 32 categories honor Chicago Equity theatrical productions that opened between August 1, 2015 and July 31, 2016.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre Announces 2016-17 Season

The season begins with King Lear by William Shakespeare. The production will coincide with the Folger Shakespeare Library's national tour of First Folio! The Book that Gave Us Shakespeare, which will bring a rare first folio to UConn's campus where it will be displayed September 1-25, 2016 in the William Benton Museum of Art. King Lear will be directed by Dale AJ Rose and play onstage in the Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre October 6-16, 2016.
