Before Stage 1 Theatre Company opened in Mechanicsville, they put on a blockbuster convert performance of 'Ragtime' that lives on in memory.

The cast and director of 'Holmes and Watson' work valiantly to lift Jeffrey Hatcher's leaden script, but the surprises come too late.

Opening September 14, the production runs through October 12 on Fridays, Saturdays, and select Thursdays at 8:00 pm.

On January 13, 17 and 19 Franz Welser-Most and The Cleveland Orchestra continue an ongoing commitment to present opera at Severance Hall with a made-for-Cleveland production of Richard Strauss's Ariadne auf Naxos which is being performed for the first time in the Orchestra's history. In his years as music director, Welser-Most has led The Cleveland Orchestra in performances of many orchestral works by Richard Strauss, as well as presentations of four other Strauss operas: Elektra (2004), Der Rosenkavalier (2007), Salome (2012), and Daphne (2015).
