BWW Review: MAYTAG VIRGIN at Florida Repertory Theatre


MAYTAG VIRGIN by Audrey Cefaly, now playing at Florida Repertory Theatre, is a sweet, southern romantic comedy focused on neighbors Jack and Lizzy. Jack moves into the house next to Lizzy's, she brings him a pie to welcome him, and from there they form a bond.

On Glass dramatizes three of these true stories. Girls Who Walked On Glass relays to its audience the actual tale of horrors three young women have endured - such as rape, HIV, and domestic violence. We followed them room to room on their journeys, meeting the people they encounter who offer help and guidance along the way.

Romantic Comedy MAYTAG VIRGIN Opens In The ArtStage Studio Theatre


Florida Repertory Theatre's 2021-2022 Season concludes with the humorous and heartwarming romantic comedy, “Maytag Virgin” by Audrey Cefaly. The new play is a romance that follows a year with Lizzy Nash and Jack Key, two Alabama schoolteachers who thought love had passed them by, and plays in the ArtStage Studio Theatre from April 15 to May 22. The run includes four nearly sold-out previews from April 12 – 14.
