From zero to sixty like a fast luxury car is how The Who & The What transitions from a comedy to an intense look at faith, relationships, gender roles, and culture. So sit back it is a delightfully entertaining ride. The Who & The What opened on Friday October 24 at the Copaken Stage in downtown Kansas City, Mo. Eric Rosen directs the new play by Ayad Akhtar for the Kansas City Repertory Theatre. Akhtar's earlier work Disgraced won the 2013 Pulitzer Prize and opened on Broadway this year.

This production, at KC Rep's downtown Copaken Stage in the Power & Light District, will run tonight, October 17 through November 16.

Tonight, June 24, acclaimed singer/songwriter, composer, artist and playwright Max Vernon presents a concert performance of his brand new musical theater piece, The View UpStairs, at the Living Room on NYC's Lower East Side. Vernon will be joined on stage by a full band and a cast of Broadway, Off-Broadway, film and television regulars that includes Tony nominee Michael McElroy (Big River, The Wild Party, Rent), Nathan Lee Graham (The Wild Party, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Zoolander), Katie Thompson (Big Fish, Giant), Will Connolly (Once), Derek Klena (Dogfight, Carrie, Wicked), MJ Rodriguez (Rent) and Rania Salem Manganaro (Hit the Wall).
