The play by Joe Calarco, for this presentation, is set in an exclusive Catholic boarding school for girls, where a group of girls begin to read ROMEO AND JULIET aloud after school, and they become so enmeshed in the emotion that the rigidity of their lives begins to parallel the lives of the characters in the play.

Pride Arts today announced a new slate of four plays for a spring of one-night only live virtual readings. The first is a reading of SPEECH AND DEBATE, by the Tony Award- winning playwright Stephen Karam.

Pride Arts’ live virtual reading of an adaptation of Shakespeare’s gender-bending comedy TWELFTH NIGHT, directed by Peter Vamvakas and originally performed on January 12, will give a second live performance on February 2 at 7 pm. About Face Theatre has announced the appointment of Rob Abernathy as President of its Board of Directors effective immediately. These workshops will provide students of all ages with the environment to explore the world around them through theatre, to have fun with creative expression while building self-esteem, and to expand communication and creative problem solving skills.
