GOOD FOR HER AGE, running December 15, 16, and 17 at NOD Theatre at eXit SPACE, is a multi-disciplinary performance by the Seattle-based dance collective Four on the Floor. The work utilizes dance, live music, and video to explore the challenges, grief, and triumphs of four aging dancers as they transition into the realm of middle age.

Each fellow will be placed at one of the presenting organizations for a year. Areas of focus will range from Marketing, Community Education, and Artistic Planning. Beginning in 2022, the program will also include Broadcasting as Classical KING FM 98.1 joins the roster of presenting organizations.

This Spring Washington Ensemble Theatre (WET) will give Henrik Ibsen's beloved play A Doll's House a fresh new makeover in Cherdonna's Doll's House, a wild and dynamic collaboration with and featuring Cherdonna Shinatra (aka Jody Kuehner), the 2015 Stranger Genius Award winner for Performance. Playing April 28 - May 15, 2017 in the Studio Theater at 12th Avenue Arts, Cherdonna's Doll's House follows the story of Nora, a married woman and mother who struggles to discover her true self or lack thereof. Cherdonna, who is part bio-drag queen, part contemporary dancer, and part performance artist, will celebrate, dissect, and illuminate this text through her own unique feminist lens, scouring Ibsen, Nora, Torvald, and the whole gang for contemporary meaning. Ali Mohamed el-Gasseir, former Co-Artistic Director of WET and co-adapter of the play with Kuehner, directs.

This spring, Relay Dance Collective will present its show Passage in the newly-created Yaw Theater -- a new beacon for contemporary dance in Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood.

Israel has long been a hotbed for contemporary dance, with Batsheva Dance Company at its epicenter. Velocity + Seattle Theatre Group present former Batsheva dancer Danielle Agami's new work, Calling Glenn, for her Los Angeles based company Ate9, named one of the country's "hottest cultural commodities" (Dance Magazine). Rhythmic anchor of the beloved band Wilco, Glenn Kotche, performs original live music.
