Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) seeks submissions for the 15th Annual TRU VOICES New Plays Reading Series (deadline January 18, 2013 for non-TRU members; January 25, 2013 for TRU members). TheTRU VOICES New Plays Reading Series is a unique series geared towards nurturing the producer-writer relationship, and is particularly interested in finding producers who are looking for opportunities to develop new works. Shows selected will receive staged readings to be presented in June of 2013. Each reading will be followed by a 'Dollars and Sense' panel discussion with prominent New York producers, general managers and artistic directors focusing on potential venues, marketing and budgeting of the work.

The award-winning York Theatre Company presents the second production of its Fall 2011 Musicals in Mufti Concert Series-the York's acclaimed series of musical theatre gems in staged concert performances. This October, the York will continue its Off-Broadway Celebration with the Mufti concert production of Tomfoolery this weekend (October 28-30) directed by Pam Koslow (The Musical of Musicals)

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that the Roundabout Theatre Company will produce a workshop of Yank!, a WWII musical. The York Theatre Company premiered the show last season and since its critically acclaimed reception, buzz has been swirling about a Broadway transfer as early as next season. Original Yank! cast member Bobby Steggert will be reprising his role in the upcoming workshop. New cast members include Santino Fontana, Morgan Spector, Michael Berresse, Nellie McKay, Jeff Hiller, Tally Sessions, Colt Prattes, Derrick Trumbly, Jeremy Cohen, Tyler Maynard, Cole Escola, Brad Bass, Cody Williams and Colin Bradbury.
