Celebrating its 40th anniversary season in 2022, Inside Broadway announces the return of its professional touring production this year – the first time since COVID-19, bringing classic Broadway musicals directly into New York City school's auditorium to give the students, teachers, and staff a fun, educational, and safe live theatre experience.

A special live concert event Broadway’s Back for the City’s Best! featured cast members from the Broadway productions of Moulin Rouge, Diana The Musical, Dear Evan Hansen, Wicked, The Lion King, The Phantom of the Opera, and Chicago.

A special live concert event Broadway's Back for the City's Best! on May 26 at 11:30 am will feature cast members from the Broadway productions of Moulin Rouge, Diana The Musical, Dear Evan Hansen, Wicked, The Lion King, The Phantom of the Opera, and Chicago which are all joining leading NYC arts education non-profit Inside Broadway who will produce and present a free exclusive livestream for all NYC public elementary, middle and high schools.

Leading NYC arts education nonprofit Inside Broadway (Executive Director, Michael Presser) recently begun its city-wide school tour of All Kinds of People, a special musical revue developed in collaboration with The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization, designed to promote tolerance and acceptance using the words and lyrics of the great Oscar Hammerstein II. The tour will play about 90 performances over the course of 10 weeks at over 50 NYC public schools in The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens & Manhattan.

The Gershwins' Real Magic, a new musical created by NYC arts education nonprofit Inside Broadway(Executive Director, Michael Presser) and developed with The Estate of George & Ira Gershwin andTams-Witmark, a Concord Theatricals Company, will get 2 special performances on Monday, April 15 at10:30am and 12:30pm at the New York Public Library at Lincoln Center, Bruno Walter Auditorium.Created to introduce a new generation to the beloved music of George & Ira Gershwin, this exciting new production began a New York City-wide school tour in January and will have played 90 performances over 10 weeks at over 50 New York City Public Schools. To Celebrate Black History Month, New York City's leading arts-education non-profit organization Inside Broadway (www.InsideBroadway.org) will present the classic Duke Ellington musical Sophisticated Ladies to over 25 N.Y.C. Public Schools throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens & The Bronx at the end of January and during February & March. A dancing and singing celebration of history & music, this award-winning Broadway musical examines Duke Ellington's life and focuses on the Harlem Renaissance, a unique time of cultural growth in New York's history. Inside Broadway's special production will tour schools beginning next week, with the first performance on Monday, January 25th. Performances are scheduled at the end of January and throughout the months of February & March.

Last night at the JW Marriot Essex House, Inside Broadway held it's annual Broadway Beacon Awards benefit. This year the honorees included Neil Mazzella, the Chairman of Hudson Scenic Studio, Stephen Batta, General Manager of the JW Marriott Essex House, Tony Award nominated actress of A Raisin In The Sun, Anika Noni Rose, Tony Award nominated actor Andy Karl from ROCKY and the Tony Award show All The Way.

Three-time Tony Award nominee Rebecca Luker and Chicago stars Amy Spanger & Amra-Faye Wright are part of the lineup for the free concert event Spotlight on Town Hall tonght, March 28 at 6pm. Hosted by NY1 Anchor Roma Torre, it will also feature performances from Smash star and Tony-nominee Jeremy Jordan, the Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera (Samantha Hill & Kyle Barisich), Off-Broadway's Avenue Q (Veronica Kuehn & Hazel Anne Raymundo), The New York City Gay Men's Chorus and The Town Hall Broadway's Rising Stars Chorus.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) announces that the 2010 recipient of the 'TRU Spirit of Theater' Award will be producer Patricia Flicker Addiss. Given to a member of the theater community who has demonstrated exceptional generosity of spirit, and a willingness to support emerging artists and producers, the award will be presented at the annual TRU Love Benefit on Sunday November 14 at Caroline's on Broadway, 1626 Broadway between 49th and 50th Streets, NYC. There will be a cocktail hour at noon with passed hors d'oeuvres, a three-course luncheon at 1pm followed by entertainment and the awards ceremony.
