The world premiere of Greg Burdick’s Accommodation opens June 18, 2023 at the Odyssey Theatre (with previews beginning June 15th). Accommodation focuses on the most timely and relevant issue of teachers’ responsibilities. Brothers Brandon and Garrett Baer direct the cast of: Sandy Bainum, Sufe Bradshaw, Jacob Cherry, Sol Marina Crespo, Laura Niemi and Massi Pregoni. Greg carved out some time between rehearsals to answer a few of my queries.

This August, The Studio Theatre™ Tierra del Sol (806 San Marino Drive, The Villages, FL) opens the second Summer Show of the 2023/2024 Season: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Next month, The Studio Theatre™ Tierra del Sol will open the third production of its seventh season, La Cage Aux Folles, Music and Lyrics by Jerry Herman and a Book by Harvey Fierstein.

In August, The Studio Theatre™ Tierra del Sol (806 San Marino Drive, The Villages, FL) will continue its annual Song Cycle Series with a collaborative work by John Bucchino and Daisy Prince. 

In Season 7 at The Studio, for the first time, all four of their productions are set in the past. Although they are contemporary works, the settings span from the turn of the 19th century to the 1980s. Many of the conflicts in these plays parallel modern issues we still face today. Each story is focused on characters demanding to be seen and understood for who they are.

This month, The Studio Theatre™ Tierra del Sol (806 San Marino Drive, The Villages, FL) will open the third production of its sixth season, Urinetown, The Musical, with Music and Lyrics by Mark Hollmann, Book and Lyrics by Greg Kotis. This month, The Studio Theatre Tierra del Sol opens the second production of its sixth season, The Cake by Bekah Brunstetter. The production will be staged at The Studio Theatre Tierra del Sol (806 San Marino Drive, The Villages, FL).

Elegies is a heartfelt collection of songs about the deaths of various people Finn has known, including some of his closest friends and family members. This work is a commentary on the rewards and woes of being part of a family, a group of friends, and a society in good times and bad. Although the show is all about death and dying, it's no sad trip down memory lane. Never morbid, Elegies is touching, funny, and ultimately buoyant; floating on the spirits of those who inhabit its songs.

This month, The Studio Theatre™ Tierra del Sol (806 San Marino Drive, The Villages, FL) will open its first production of its fifth season, 9 to 5 The Musical, music & lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick. The production will be staged at The Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center (1051 Main Street, The Villages, FL). 

The Studio Theatre Tierra del Sol will present its fifth Staged Play Reading: Round Table a sort of LARP by Liba Vaynberg.
