Evans, concludes its 2018-19 season with Into the Breeches!, written by George Brant and directed by Jessica Thebus. Into the Breeches! runs May 9 - June 16, 2019 at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie.

The season continues with the World Premiere of Mansfield Park, Kate Hamill's new adaptation of Jane Austen's classic tale of social satire, directed by Stuart Carden; followed by Christina Ham's Nina Simone: Four Women,directed by Kenneth L. Roberson; and the World Premiere of Landladies (previously titled The Janice), written by Sharyn Rothstein and directed by Jess McLeod. Closing out the season is Into the Breeches! by George Brant and directed by Jessica Thebus.

Windy City Gay Idol, now in its 12th year, marches to the finals in search of the best amateur LGBTQ singer in the Chicago area. The finals will be at Mayne Stage, 1328 W. Morse, Wednesday, June 25 at 7 p.m.

UP Comedy Club has announced its remount of Porchlight Music Theatre's smash hit, BEST MUSICAL! A Completely Improvised Musical Comedy. BEST MUSICAL! was developed in 'Off the Porch' Porchlight Music Theatre's new works development program. BEST MUSICAL! will run October 2 - November 6, 2013 at the UP Comedy Club, located at 230 W. North Ave., 3rd Floor of Pipers Alley.
