In a statement, Hayes said 'I wish I never had to miss a show. I'd sleep on the stage if the doorman didn't kick me out. I made it all the way to 271 performances but my doctor tells me that singing with a sinus infection just won't work, which kills my dream of never missing a performance for the whole run of Promises.
