On December 1st, 2023, Actor Therapy New Works and Very Intense Productions will present an AEA 29-hour reading of Goliath, a new musical with book by Cassidy Layton (Severance) and music and lyrics by Ethan Carlson (Waitress), culminating in a small presentation for an invited audience at Open Jar Studios.

Beck Center for the Arts once again displays the artistic work of visual arts faculty and staff. Many items on display are available for purchase at Customer Service.

The new musical, How to Dance in Ohio, inspired by Alexandra Shiva’s Peabody Award-winning documentary of the same name, is the 2022/2023 season opener at Syracuse Stage and is now in performances through Oct. 9, 2022. Get a first look at photos here!

The creative team has been finalized and  tickets are now on sale for the world premiere musical How to Dance in Ohio. The musical is scheduled as the 2022-23 season opener at Syracuse Stage this fall, and will run Sept. 21 – Oct. 9, 2022.

The American Modern Opera Company (AMOC), led by Artistic Director Zack Winokur, has received a $750,000 grant from the celebrated Andrew W. Mellon Foundation “to support visionary artists in collaborative processes that re-envision a long-enduring art form in an artist-centric and contemporary manner.” 

This Saturday, October 23rd at 6:15pmEST, songs from the new musical, SALOMÉ VS. JOHN by Rebecca Aparicio and Stephen Elkins, will be performed in concert at Queens Theatre as part of the City Artist Corps Showcase.

Following the success of Egg & Spoon Theatre Collective's production of MORNING by Simon Stephens in September, A DREAM PLAY ran last weekend at Theatre 54 @ Shetler Studios. It was the second production in Egg & Spoon's three-show inaugural season. Its next production, opening May 10th (also at Theatre 54 @ Shetler Studios), will be a commission by playwright Jess Honovich.
