Live Source Theatre Group (Chris Dieman, Artistic Director), as part of their 10th season, presents a special performance of the new play PARX.  The performance is outdoors at Long Island City's famed Murray Park (45th Road and 21st Street, Long Island City) at the mini-stage on the east side of the park.

Lisa (Anna Stefanic) opens the door to her home and switches on the light.  A naked man is sprawled out on the floor with food.  He 'bellows a pained roar.'  She shrieks, fumbles her groceries and quickly douses the offending brightness.  When she turns the light back on, a paper shopping bag has been placed on the man's head.  'God damn it, Davey' she says.  The damnation of that moment will carry through the very funny Soul Survivor.

Lisa and Dave are siblings in a tight spota?" if they can't find a loophole in their infernal contract, they're going to hell. Tonight. ROOMMATES, the first full-length play by Brooklyn playwright Darcy Cagen will have its NYC debut in the Lion Theatre at Theatre Row for a limited engagement - playing just three performances: Friday, August 2 at 8pm; Wednesday, August 7 at 2pm and Saturday, August 10 at 8pm.

I'LL SAY SHE IS, the legendary musical comedy that was the Broadway debut of the Marx Brothers, originally opened 92 years ago today -- on May 19, 1924 at the 875-seat Casino Theatre on Broadway at 39th Street. It played for 313 performances before being lost to history. Thanks to Grouch Marx enthusiast Noah Diamond, I'LL SAY SHE IS will return to the stage in a historic new production at The Connelly Theater beginning previews May 28.
