Like the Broadway production, the national touring production is fun - pure and simple. You can't ask for much more than that.

Bring It On Folsom. Bring on the Broadway talent. Bring on the music. Bring on the cheerleaders? Yes, cheerleaders. And Friday evening's audience at the Harris Center was ready to "Bring It On" with the fairly new musical based on the popular film series.

The national tour of BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL, currently playing at the Capitol Theatre, is an infectiously joyful, high-flying celebration of friendship. Highly entertaining through and through, the show's Tony nomination for Best Musical last year is well deserved.

Thrilling, exciting, one of the top feel good productions of the Kansas City theatrical season best describes Bring It On: The Musical, now playing at the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts. The play inspired by Bring It On the movie opened on Tuesday February 11. The touring cast performs music by Tom Kit and Lin-Manuel Miranda, lyrics by Amanda Green and Lin-Manuel Miranda and libretto by Jeff Whitty. Andy Blankenbuehler directs and choreographs this high energy and entertaining spectacle.

Competitive cheerleading and team rivalries come to the stage of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City, MO. with Bring It On: The Musical. Inspired by the 2000 film, Bring It On, The Musical opened on Broadway August 1, 2012 at the St. James Theatre, playing through December 30, 2012. The show premiered in Atlanta, Georgia in January 2011 and utilized competitive cheerleaders from across the country.

Big League Productions, Inc. and Troika Entertainment recently kicked off the national tour of the musical comedy Bring It On: The Musical. Bring It On: The Musical began previews January 16-18 in New Haven, CT at the Shubert Theatre and opened on January 21 in Macon, GA at the Grand Opera House. L'illusion Comique will play a three night limited engagement at Under St. Mark's (94 Saint Marks PL., New York, NY 10009). Performances in New York begin tonight, October 18 and continue through to Saturday, October 20. Opening Night is tonight, October 18 (8 p.m.)

Factory Girls features music and lyrics by Creighton Irons and Sean Mahoney and a book by Maggie-Kate Coleman. The reading will be directed by Amy Rogers, the head and creator of Pace University's BFA Musical Theater Program. Musical direction will be by Robert Meffe, the program's resident musical director.
