Mills Music Now series, the Mills College Music Department and the Center for Contemporary Music in February presents the award winning composer/improviser Nicole Mitchell on Saturday, February 5, 2022, 8:00 PM (PST). Nicole is the 2021-22 Jean Macduff Vaux Composer-in-Residence performing in the Jeannik Méquet Littlefield Concert Hall with the concert also available as a Live Stream. 

The International Contemporary Ensemble and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago will present a free virtual concert featuring the world premiere of Nicole M. Mitchell's Inescapable Spiral Remote (2020) on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 6pm CST/7pm EST.

The Raymond F. Bang on a Can and the Jewish Museum's 2019-2020 concert season continues on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 7:30pm at the Jewish Museum's Scheuer Auditorium (1109 Fifth Avenue at 92nd Street). Flutist Nicole Mitchell's trio Matape, with Val Jeanty and Chad Taylor, creates ancient future soundscapes informed by the African diaspora through flute, Afro-Electronica, and percussion. This season's Bang on a Can performances celebrate the unique power of artist's voices, and Mitchell, emerging from Chicago's innovative music scene in the late 90s, continues that theme. The power of artists voices also resonates with themes in the current exhibition Rachel Feinstein: Maiden, Mother, Crone.

Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is launching into Leap Year with 23 dazzling shows, concerts and special events for every entertainment preference, from classical music to Broadway razzle dazzle, including the return of Michael Feinstein and the Kravis Center Pops Orchestra, the 13th annual Palm Beach Wine Auction Dinner & Live Auction, and the local premiere of HAMILTON, the biggest blockbuster of the past decade.

Irish Arts Center is pleased to announce Tobin's Run on 51, a new series of jazz nights curated by award-winning Irish singer-songwriter Christine Tobin and acclaimed guitarist Phil Robson, who return to IAC after two sold-out concerts where they performed songs by Leonard Cohen. The series, which takes place at Irish Arts Center (553 West 51st Street, New York) on February 23, March 23 and April 27, will feature Tobin and Robson joined by special guests consisting of some of New York's best Irish and international musicians to play sets and share stories about music's greatest artists and treasures.

Even before breaking ground on their new home, IAC will welcome audiences into the existing Cybert Tire site for Rooms, a site-specific theatrical installation by the great Irish playwright Enda Walsh (May 3-28). IAC will present Rooms alongside St. Ann's Warehouse premiere of Walsh's new play, Arlington (May 3-28), making for a season of Walsh works in New York, supported by Culture Ireland.

Elizabeth Mitchell and You Are My Flower is performing a folk rock concert for families on Sunday, April 21 at 2:00 pm at The Jewish Museum. Mitchell, a singer and guitarist known for reinterpreting classic folk songs for children and their parents, will be joined by her husband, singer/guitarist Daniel Littleton, and their eleven year old daughter Storey. Concert attendees can enjoy cherished folk classics and soulful originals from the albums Catch the Moon and Blue Clouds.
