Spring brings renewed energy into the year. There isn’t a better moment for the Royal Shakespeare Company’s recently appointed Co-Artistic Directors Daniel Evans and Tamara Harvey to launch their vision for the organisation. Led by a big name that will attract new audiences who are probably younger than your typical RSC crowd, we hope Love’s Labour’s Lost is setting the tone for what’s coming. If this opening is anything to go by, this upcoming era seems to be adopting Shakespeare for a contemporary audience while maintaining the reverence for the language and the pomp of tradition.

Netflix released new photos from Bridgerton Season 3 to celebrate the anniversary of the show’s release. The photos feature Ruth Gemmell as Lady Violet Bridgerton, Hannah Dodd as Francesca Bridgerton, Florence Hunt as Hyacinth Bridgerton, Simone Ashley as Kate Sharma, Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton, and more.

Netflix and Shondaland announced Bridgerton will return for an ultra-sexy, lavish season 3 in 2024. As previously announced, viewers can anticipate witnessing the budding romance between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), affectionately known by fans as #Polin.

This week, The Society of London Theatre & UK Theatre launched their new campaign, Theatre For Every Child. The campaign aims to ensure every child visits the theatre before they leave school. While the industry is doing great outreach work, access is not equal: children from low-income families are less likely to have access to cultural experiences outside of school.

Society of London Theatre & UK Theatre have launched the “Theatre for Every Child campaign” ahead of the next general election. They are asking for politicians to commit that every child will attend the theatre before they leave school. 

Examining the pressures faced by young Muslim men, an exhilarating new play about fitting in and striking out comes to the Stephen Joseph Theatre next month. Brown Boys Swim can be seen in the McCarthy auditorium at the Scarborough theatre at 7.45pm on 9 and 10 October. Learn more about the production here!
