Leonardo Suárez Paz is a 4th generation artist, known for his unique talents as a violinist, vocalist and dancer. Mr. Suárez Paz grew up surrounded by the main protagonists of tango, his renowned parents Fernando and Beatriz Suárez Paz, Astor Piazzolla, Osvaldo Berlingieri and others. Leonardo made his debut singing at age 6 and as a violinist at age 14, gaining experience in both classical and tango music. At 16, he became the youngest member of the Orquesta Estable del Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, South America’s most significant opera house. Mr. Suárez Paz’ has accompanied Alfredo Kraus, Placido Domingo, Andrea Bocelli and Aaron Rosen; has played as a soloist in Julio Bocca's Ballet Argentino and was the Concertmaster for Savion Glover's 'Classical Savion' in 2006-2009 and for Tanguera in New York’s city center in 2009. Leonardo has performed at Carnegie Hall, at the Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy with Tango Passion & Swing and the Spoleto Festival in Italy with Savion Glover. His Broadway credits include Forever Tango, Tango Argentino where he appeared as a soloist as well as Bring In Da Noise Bring In Da Funk, Lion King, Phantom of the Opera and Wicked.

Mr. Suárez Paz’ jazz credits include playing and recording with Stanley Jordan, Cody Moffett, and Jim Hall; as well as arranging for the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis. Mr. Suárez Paz played on the Grammy award winning album 100 Años de Mariachi with Placido Domingo and the 3 times Latin Grammy award winning album Amarte Es Un Placer with Luis Miguel. His film credits include Bossa Nova, The Imposters and Flawless with Robert De Niro.

In tango, Mr. Suárez Paz has played under the direction of Osvaldo Requena, Osvaldo Berlingieri, Horacio Salgán, Néstor Marconi, Mariano Mores, Atilio Stampone, Carlos Franzetti and many others. He starred in The Mariano Mores Show, TangoX2 and Perfumes de Tango as a violinist and a dancer and was a violin soloist in Forever Tango and Tango Argentino on Broadway. He is currently a member of the Greenwich Symphony and the artistic director of Cuartetango Music & Dance Company. Cuartetango’s first CD, L’Atelier, was released in 2005 on EMI Classics. In 2012 the group released a historic album Masters of Bandoneon, on Azica/Naxos. Leonardo Suárez Paz’s Cuartetango been featured in the special on PBS WHYY “On Canvas,” (2009) and on “Rhythm and Roots,” an Ebru TV program dedicated to music, which won an EMMY award in 2010. Cuartetango was featured at the Teatro Colon Opera House, the Lincoln Center and many other stages and in festivals from Washington Square Music Festival in New York to the Buenos Aires Tango Festival.
