Minneapolis indie rockers Bad Bad Hats the “9AM” (Remaster) single just ahead of the new It Hurts EP (10th Anniversary Edition), a special reissue of their debut release due out this Friday. The collection features the remastered version of their debut It Hurts EP + demos of all 5 songs and marks the first time the debut EP will be available.

Minneapolis’ beloved indie rock group Bad Bad Hats has released the never before heard “It Hurts” (Demo). Following the release of “Super America” (Remaster) which earned acclaim from Earmilk, Women That Rock and We All Want Someone To Shout For and more, this is the latest single from their It Hurts EP (10th Anniversary Edition).

Indie rock group Bad Bad Hats celebrates a decade of free-wheeling indie rock antics with the It Hurts EP (10th Anniversary Edition). The new collection features the special remastered version of their debut It Hurts EP + demos of all 5 songs and marks the first time the debut EP will be available on vinyl, as well as being released digitally.

The song is a playful demand for old St. Nick to not spare the sweets while delivering presents this Christmas Eve. Delivered with the band's signature upbeat melodicism, the tune fits nicely alongside the Walkman album singles such as 'Detroit Basketball' and 'Milky Way' released earlier this year. Bad Bad Hats is an indie rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The band consists of Kerry Alexander, Chris Hoge, and Connor Davison. Named for a trouble-making character from the Madeline children’s books, Bad Bad Hats is defined by a balance of sweet and sour. Their music honors classic pop songwriting, with nods to nineties rock simplicity and pop-punk frivolity. Through it all, Alexander’s unflinchingly sincere lyrics cut to the emotional heart of things.

Despite it’s lyrical praise for “heavy metal, rock and roll”, the mid-tempo tune owes as much to pop and country traditions as it does the rock canon.

The 10-song collection explores themes of dependence and independence in relationships, bolstered by the band's signature equal parts grit-and-melody instrumental compositions.
