New York announces its Holiday 2018 lineup of seasonally-inspired events at the scenic waterfront venue. With free and festive programming throughout the holiday season, there is something for everyone, with activities including performances of The Nutcracker and the returns of Luminaries and The Rink, the only one in New York City to partner with US Olympians. The Rink at Brookfield Place With Gregory & Petukhov presents The Magic of Beauty Holiday Ice Show. The show is directed and created by and will feature the skating of six-time US National medalists & United States Olympians Melissa Gregory and Denis Petukhov.

Actor Christopher Logan, Guest-Star of the upcoming X-Files episode 'Founder's Mutation' (Jan.25th) and films 'Connie and Carla', 'Saving Silverman' and 'Tron Legacy', has produced a coffee table book of top burlesque stars. 'BURLESQUE' is the follow up to 'dr.a.g.' (for dressed as girl), which celebrated top drag performers and was chosen as a VIP Gift at the Sundance Film Festival's Independent Filmmaker's Lounge both this year and last. Logan makes books to raise funding for independent film projects. 'A new way to turn a book into a movie', he quips. 'Connie and Carla' connected Logan to the drag community allowing the first book to come together. 'The drag performers were very welcoming and open to the idea. Everyone was thrilled with the final book.' After 'dr.a.g.', comes 'BURLESQUE', a 160-page large-format book, filled to the brim with stunning full-colour photography of stars Immodesty Blaize (UK), Kalani Kokonuts (Vegas), Little Miss Risk (Vancouver), LouLou D'vil (Finland), the renowned Dita Von Teese, and even a few men like The Stage Door Johnnies. 'Drag is too much fashion for one gender', says Logan. 'Burlesque is when you leave it all on the floor'. 'Exploring the diversity within a subculture allows us to see all sides of it', he says. 'These photographs speak for themselves, letting the performers showcase themselves doing what they do best, with their own signature style'. The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will continue its engagement at JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater on Sunday, May 18 at 9:30 PM with a celebration of the pop diva Janet Jackson. After a highly-successful season at 54 Below, The Meeting* has returned to its downtown roots this year with shows through May. The Meeting* has been called "delicious and delightfully droll" by The New York Post, and "hilarious and sardonic" by The Village Voice. A recent story for Slate.com called the evening "so deliciously icy that it left me shivering with fear and delight." The May show will feature special guest Erin Markey in addition to the previously-announced Cole Escola, Nadia Quinn of "Summer & Eve" and John Early. Brett Every serves as Music Director.
