After presenting dozens of star-studded benefit performances in New York, Los Angeles, London and elsewhere, Villain: DeBlanks makes its Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut with daily 10am performances presented specifically for family audiences, 20-25 August. Originally created as a fun, interactive way to illustrate the value of grammar, this fill-in-the-blanks comedy is a great way to laugh together, and learn a few new words.

The Flat Rock Playhouse 2017 season continues with the stage play turned cult-classic film, Amadeus. This larger-than-life production stars Nat Zegree (Jerry Lee Lewis of last year's hit Million Dollar Quartet) as one of the original bad boys of popular music, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Amadeus runs September 15th through the 30th at the Clyde and Nina Allen Mainstage in the Village of Flat Rock, NC.

This hilariously naughty satire, based on E.L. James' novel "Fifty Shades of Grey," runs at the Carlos P. The Broadway at Birdland concert series celebrated a musical trifecta on Monday night, with sublime jazz vocalist Jane Monheit, extraordinary arrangements by Mary Ann McSweeney, and a wealth of Irving Berlin material. The stellar backup band for the evening evening included McSweeney on bass, Jim Ridl on piano, and Alvester Garnett on drums. Several months ago, the Monheit-McSweeney duo teamed up with a swinging take on Cole Porter's iconic score for Anything Goes, to great acclaim.
