Kansas City Actors Theatre presents the classic Victorian thriller 'Gaslight (Angel Street)' by Patrick Hamilton. This edge-of-your-seat thriller starts January 17th at the City Stage in Union Station.

Kansas City Actors Theatre has announced the line-up for its 20th Anniversary season, which will feature one classic work receiving its first professional regional production, a revival of a contemporary classic, the regional premiere of a new adaptation of a classic thriller, and the regional premiere of an award-winning new play.

'Meet Me Where I Am' a timely and intimate look about moving through grief and finding meaning through loss, will make its East Coast premiere at this year's Dances With Films (DWF) Festival.

'Meet Me Where I Am,' a timely and intimate look about moving through grief, will make its US premiere at this year's Dances With Films (DWF) Festival, June 22nd - July 2nd at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres in Hollywood.

Crimewatch Roadshow Live, with Michelle Ackerley and Rav Wilding, is back on BBC One Daytime from Monday 9 March (9.15am) for three weeks. The programme will be appealing to the public to help tackle everyday crimes as well as crack some of the UK's biggest unsolved cases.

Spinning Tree Theatre concludes season eight April 4-20 with Billy Elliot. With book and lyrics by Lee Hall and music by Elton John, Billy Elliot won ten 2009 Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Book of a Musical. Billy Elliot will also mark the company's final production at Just Off Broadway Theatre before moving to Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center for the 2019-20 season.

Great British Menu is back on BBC Two this spring putting the nation's most talented chefs to the test. With a brand new format and slot on peak television, the series will see 24 chefs from across Britain's regions compete to serve their dish at the final banquet. Here, at the famous Abbey Road Studios, just one exceptional chef will once again be crowned champion of champions.

Spinning Tree Theatre announces the 3rd Annual Guild Scholarship, sponsored by the company's Guild and administered by the Artistic Committee. In keeping with their mission of educational development in the live theatre arts, Spinning Tree created this scholarship fund in 2017 to assist area high school seniors in pursuing higher education. The 2019 award is a one-time $1,000 scholarship.

For a really, enjoyable evening, don't miss New Theatre Restaurant's musicalized version of the 1992 film comedy 'Sister Act' with a great score by Alan Menken and Glen Slater.  Here is a show with a cast that features absolutely NO WEAK SISTERS.
