Celebrity psychic Dr. Wonder and her loyal, if somewhat bewildered, sidekick Birdie, pull up to various salons and saloons, hotel conference rooms and auditoriums, and bus stops and auto repair shops around the nation to lecture, teach, and provide personal psychic predictions. Expect winning musical numbers and much interaction with the audience from this ongoing collaboration between Colleen O'Neill and Judith Greentree.

It's inevitable that The Woodshed Collective's The Tenant, a site-specific theatrical interpretation of Roland Topor's novella via Roman Polanski's film adaptation, will be compared with the downtown hit, Sleep No More. Both require audience members to freely walk through several floors of rooms, exploring the contents and running into actors playing out scenes. But despite its less elaborate production values, I found The Tenant to be a far superior and much more entertaining experience.

The obligatory Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark spoof that everyone figured would be a part of the 2011 New York International Fringe Festival obviously did not benefit from a series of workshops and readings before making its debut at the Bleecker Theatre. This one had to be a rush job.

Vineyard Theatre, in association with New Georges, hosts 'The Program' for Jenny Schwartz's 'God's Ear' -- a special free event featuring a pre-show discussion and cocktail party with critics David Cote and Helen Shaw and playwright/essayist Jeffrey Jones on Thursday, May 15, beginning at 6:45pm, at The Vineyard Theatre.

Jenny Schwartz's new play that was developed by Vineyard Theatre and debuted at New Georges last year -- will return to The Vineyard (108 East 15th Street) as the company's third mainstage production of the 2007-08 Season, with previews set to begin April 9, prior to its official press opening April 17, it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, artistic director of Vineyard Theatre. Directed by Anne Kauffman (THE THUGS), the production was critically acclaimed when it opened at New Georges in May 2007. GOD'S EAR -- which The Vineyard will present in association with New Georges -- is a compelling and moving new play about a young couple struggling through their relationship after the loss of their child. About bringing GOD'S EAR back to The Vineyard for a mainstage production, Mr. Aibel says, 'It's really thrilling for me to welcome Jenny Schwartz and GOD'S EAR to The Vineyard. Jenny first worked with The Vineyard as an intern in our literary office some years ago, and then we had the honor of collaborating with her on a series of readings and workshops of GOD'S EAR. We were proud to see the play go on to a production at New Georges last season in a limited engagement - and absolutely delighted that the play will now have the opportunity to return to New York and The Vineyard.' The cast of GOD'S EAR includes Gibson Frazier, Judith Greentree, Christina Kirk, Raymond McAnally, Matthew Montelongo, Monique Vukovic, and Rebecca Wisocky. The production features original songs by Michael Friedman, with additional lyrics by Jenny Schwartz. God's Ear, a full-length play written by Jenny Schwartz (Cause for Alarm) and directed by Anne Kauffman (Soho Rep's The Thugs), will see its world premiere Off Broadway at the East 13th Street Theater, 136 East 13th Street (between 3rd and 4th Avenues).
