Critics have shared their impressions of the new David Geffen Hall, the home of the New York Philharmonic and new welcoming cultural home for New York, which opened to the public on October 8, 2022.

Amaterasu Za is presenting Chushingura - 47 Ronin, adapted and directed by Ako Dachs, it will be performed mainly in Japanese with English subtitles.  Chushingura - 47 Ronin, which has begun performances, will officially open on October 23, 2022, at the A.R.T./New York Mezzanine Theater. The new David Geffen Hall will open to the public on October 8, 2022, the home of the New York Philharmonic and new welcoming cultural home for New York. Completed two years early with a transformative design, the project represents a statement of faith in New York and its artistic community.

The theater in the new David Geffen Hall will be named the ‘Wu Tsai Theater’ in honor of a catalytic gift by Joe Tsai and Clara Wu Tsai, philanthropist and Lincoln Center Board Member.

The New York Philharmonic's 2022-23 season will feature a collaboration with Interlochen Center for the Arts. Interlochen Arts Academy Orchestra conductor Leslie B. Dunner will lead the Philharmonic on March 2 and 4, and as part of a weeklong residency in New York City, nearly 150 Interlochen Arts Academy students will present a multidisciplinary work at David Geffen Hall on Friday, March 3, at 8 p.m.

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and the New York Philharmonic today announced the acceleration of the comprehensive renovation of David Geffen Hall, designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects and Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects │ Partners, now scheduled to re-open to the public in Fall 2022, nearly 2 years earlier than previously announced.

The 2019 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway were handed out last night to recipients in 19 categories, with one special award and three honorary awards also bestowed. The Lortel Awards were distributed in a ceremony at NYU Skirball Center hosted by Drama Desk Award-nominated writer and performer of The New One, Mike Birbiglia. The Lucille Lortel Awards are produced by the Off-Broadway League by special arrangement with the Lucille Lortel Theatre Foundation. Additional support is provided by TDF.

Yesterday, November 10, 2014, Theatre Communications Group (TCG) celebrated its annual gala. This year the organization honored Jules Fisher, Lynn Nottage, and the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation at 583 Park Avenue in New York City. The performances included previews of two productions from TCG Member Theatres: A Walk on the Moon (New York Stage and Film) and Immediate Family (About Face Theatre, Center Theatre Group, and the Goodman Theatre).
