Emmett, Down in My Heart takes the audience on a haunting journey of race and violence in America. Historical text, music, and immersive staging interweave to tell the story of the horrific murder of 14-year-old Emmett Till in 1955 Mississippi. Till's brutal lynching, the acquittal of his killers, and his mother's insistence on an open casket exposed hidden truths of the Jim Crow South and stunned the world, striking a chord in the national conscience.

The Castillo Theatre production of Carmen's Place (A Fantasy), called "an aria to behold" by critics in this opera-within-a musical running through June 16. Carmen's Place features an original pop score by Annie Roboff and Fred Newman, and in its show-within-the-show, some of the best-known and best-loved operatic numbers ever performed. Director Gabrielle L. Kurlander received the AUDELCO "Viv" Recognition Award for Excellence in Black Theatre as Best Director of a Musical Production in 2012 for Newman-Roboff's Sally and Tom (The American Way).

Due to critical acclaim and box office demand, 'Another Part of the Forest,' by Lillian Hellman, presented by the award-winning Peccadillo Theatre Company, extended its run for an additional week at Theatre at St. Clement's (423 West 46th Street - btw. 9th & 10th Avenues). The production will close Sunday, July 11th.
