Casting has been announced for The Messiah by the writer of the Olivier Award-winning West End hit The 39 Steps as Patrick Barlow's The Messiah tours the UK this Autumn, before transferring to London's The Other Palace from Monday 3rd December - Saturday 5th January 2018.

Songwriter Jimmy Lumpkin has released his new video for the song 'Troubled Soul', the opening track from his debut album Home.

In Theatr Clwyd's 40th anniversary year, Artistic Director Tamara Harvey, today announces full casting for her Theatr Clwyd directorial debut production of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. Harvey directs Lisa Palfrey in the role of Beatrice and John Ramm as Benedict. They are joined by David Bark-Jones, Jonathan Harden, Sian Howard, Nakay Kpaka, Steven Meo, Catherin Morris, Lowri Palfrey, Kerry Peers, and Sion Pritchard.

The Broadway runs of WOLF HALL: PARTS 1 & 2 officially come to an end this weekend. Based on the novels by Booker Prize-winner Hilary Mantel, WOLF HALL ends its 15-week engagement today, July 5, 2015, at the Winter Garden Theatre. After critically acclaimed and sold out engagements at the Royal Shakespeare Company's Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon and at the Aldwych Theatre in London, the theatrical event WOLF HALL: PARTS 1 & 2 began performances on Broadway on Friday, March 20, 2015, at the Winter Garden Theatre. Opening day will be held on April 9, 2015. The production is directed by Olivier Award nominee Jeremy Herrin, who makes his New York City directing debut. On Saturday 17th May, Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies celebrated their opening night at the Aldwych Theatre, London WC2. The West End company includes Ben Miles as Cromwell, Nathaniel Parker as Henry VIII, Lydia Leonard as Anne Boleyn, Paul Jesson as Cardinal Wolsey and Lucy Briers as Katherine of Aragon.

On Saturday 17th May, Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies celebrated their opening night at the Aldwych Theatre, London WC2. After the performance, creative team, cast and guests headed to The Royal Horseguards in Whitehall for a party. Check out the photos below!

The world premiere stage version of Hilary Mantel's multi award-winning novels about the rise and fall of Thomas Cromwell and Anne Boleyn has now been cast and starts rehearsals shortly before starting previews in the Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon in December.

Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse, Josie Rourke, will direct the world premiere of award-winning writer Matt Charman's new work: The Machine. This new play is based on Grandmaster Garry Kasparov's headline-grabbing 1997 New York chess tournament against Deep Blue, a super-computer developed by technology giant IBM. Casting has been announced for Matt Charman's new play, The Machine, which will have its U.S. premiere at Park Avenue Armory September 4-18 and its world premiere at Manchester International Festival July 10-21. Hadley Fraser will star as chess Grandmaster Garry Kasparov. Fraser has recently starred as Sid in The Pajama Game at Chichester Festival Theatre and is known, amongst other roles, for his portrayal of Javert in Les Miserables in the West End. Francesca Annis will play Garry's mother, Clara. Recently seen on television in Cranford, Annis' film credits include Revolver, The Libertine, and Milk. The wunderkind engineer behind Deep Blue, Doctor Hsu will be played by Kenneth Lee, who starred in US comedy drama Delocated.
