On Wednesday, May 8, Image Comics will release the ambitious graphic novel companion to the album, created by McCreary with Mat Groom and produced by Black Market Narrative. Country hit-maker Lacy J. Dalton is celebrating her 40th anniversary in country music, and of her hit single 'Crazy Blue Eyes' released in the fall of 1979. Lacy J. Dalton gained prominence in the late 1970's as one of the fastest rising stars. With the launch of her first single “Crazy Blue Eyes,” Dalton saw her career rise as the song broke the U.S. Hot Country Charts in 1979, and eventually became a Top 20 hit while on rotation at radio stations throughout the country. After the release of “Crazy Blue Eyes,” Lacy J. continued her streak in country music with 'Takin' It Easy' and 'Everybody Makes Mistakes,' before releasing her signature song, “16th Avenue,” all four reaching the Top 20 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs.

Grammy Nominated and Academy of Country Music award winner Lacy J. Dalton shows no sign of slowing down as she hits the road this summer, taking her music across the country. “What started off as a couple of shows, has turned into eighteen cities in seven states,” says Lacy J. “I am so excited to bring my music to my fans. I love to meet new people, and with my new project, Scarecrow, there is a lot of excitement happening right now for me.”

His album Hero (on Broadway Records) came out in March; an SRO show soon followed at Steve Walter's Cutting Room and last night Tyce and his band kicked off a six-date East Coast tour and delivered just an impressive rendering of his album. With a lovely, opening set from keyboardist Alex Nester (Santana), she delivered the good with some terrific original material. Her voice is stunningly terrific and she mentioned that an album would soon be forthcoming. Trust me check her out.

Today, the 21-year-old Nelson is still on the road, but with his own band, Promise of the Real. Joined by drummer Anthony LoGerfo, bassist Corey McCormick, and percussionist Tato Melgar, Promise of the Real is a blend of 'genuine rock ‘n' roll,' as the Oregon Music News notes-part American heart ‘n' soul, Latin tones, blues, funk, and a pinch of country.

Palestine, New Mexico celebrated it's opening night on Sunday, December 13 at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. Written by Richard Montoya for Culture Clash and directed by Lisa Peterson, Palestine, New Mexico is set on an American Indian reservation in the Southwest, and follows the fate of Army Captain Siler who has returned from Iraq with a secret she just can't hold on to any more. She is determined to set the record straight about the death of the tribal chief's son, but she discovers she is considered a dangerous outsider rather than a messenger of truth. In the battle to tell her story she unleashes far more history than anyone wanted to hear, or tell.
