National Sawdust, the acclaimed non-profit that commissions, produces, and presents genre-spanning new music and interdisciplinary works, has announced that it has purchased its building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and revealed the programming that will animate the venue this fall.

Rudy Royston, first-call drummer with Bill Frisell, Dave Douglas, Noah Preminger, Rudresh Mahanthappa and a host of others, is proud to present DAY, his fifth release for Greenleaf Music. DAY is the second outing from Flatbed Buggy, the adventurous, sonically varied small group that Royston premiered on the acclaimed 2018 album of that name.

One year on from theatres being allowed to fully reopen, where is the new writing? This is a problem Darren Clark has set out to tackle with his project New UK Musicals. Set up during the pandemic, the project's website makes sheet music and backing tracks to new original musical theatre songs by British writers widely available.

Streaming Live at the Village Vanguard continues its series on Saturday, June 27 at 7 p.m. EDT and Sunday, June 28 at 2 p.m. EDT with the Joe Martin Quartet featuring Mark Turner, Kevin Hays and Nasheet Waits. Tickets are $7.
