Center Theatre Group's Block Party continues with the opening of The Echo Theater Company production of 'Dry Land' at the Kirk Douglas Theatre. Written by Ruby Rae Spiegel and directed by Alana Dietze, 'Dry Land' opened on May 14 and runs through May 21, 2017. BroadwayWorld has photos from the opening festivities below!

Coeurage Theatre Company, LA's Pay What You Want theatre company, has announced the first production of its eighth season, the world premiere of Nicky, by acclaimed Los Angeles playwright Boni B. Alvarez. Directed by Beth Lopes, there will be two preview performances on June 1 and 2 at 8pm and opening is set for Saturday, June 3 at 8pm. Nicky will play through July 1 at the Greenway Court Theatre.

Center Theatre Group has selected three local productions for the inaugural Block Party: Celebrating Los Angeles Theatre at the Kirk Douglas Theatre.

The thoroughly involving world premiere of playwright Carla Ching's THE TWO KIDS THAT BLOW SHIT UP combines the potent mixture of a witty script with two totally dynamic actors directed in a steady, flowing, non-stop pace of a brisk 90 minutes.  Jeremy Lelliott deftly directs his two brilliantly believable actors as they portray two people brought together by not any of their own doings. 

Tumultuous relationships, spin-outs and epic life fails forge an unlikely friendship in The Two Kids That Blow Shit Up by Carla Ching, a play about falling in and out of love with your best friend.

Coeurage Theatre Company, LA's Pay What You Want Company, has announced the first production of its 2016 season, Tennessee Williams' Vieux Carré. Directed by Jeremy Lelliott, there will be one preview performance on February 12 at 8pm and opening is set for Saturday, February 13 at 8pm. Vieux Carré will play through March 12 at the Historic Lankershim Arts Center. 

Coeurage Theatre Company (Jeremy Lelliott, Artistic Director; Nicole Monet, Managing Director), LA's only Pay What You Want company, has announced a special one night only reading of Head Over Heels, a play written and directed by Coeurage resident playwright Eric Czuleger, on Sunday, January 17 at 7:30pm at The Historic Lankershim Arts Center in North Hollywood. Proceeds from the event will go toward the ongoing medical care of Steve Julian, host of 'Morning Edition' on KPCC Radio and Coeurage board member.

The event begins at 7pm on Sunday, July 5 at the famed Formosa Cafe in West Hollywood.

Based on the classic Mark Twain tale about two boys in 16th century England who trade clothes and accidentally trade lives as well!
