Strawdog Theatre Company's Board of Directors today announced Artistic Director Leda Hoffmann will step down effective August 15, 2020. Hoffmann, who joined the company in January 2019, has accepted a position as Artistic Director of CATCO in Columbus, Ohio. Ensemble member Kamille Dawkins will serve as the company's Interim Artistic Director.

Strawdog Theatre Company today announced it must exit its current home at 1802 W. Berenice Ave. in Chicago's Northcenter neighborhood at the end of March 2020. The company has leased the space since 2017, after losing its 25-year home at 3829 N. Broadway in Lake View.

Durango PlayFest today announced a cast of 11 New York- and Los Angeles-based actors who will headline four plays being developed at its new works festival. The August 5-10 event brings nationally recognized actors, playwrights and directors to Durango to incubate new plays, hold workshops for the community, and culminate the week with staged readings. 3-D Theatricals celebrates its 10th Anniversary season with a lavish new production of the Tony Award®-winning musical, The Secret Garden, directed by 3-D Theatricals' producer and artistic director T.J. Dawson. The Secret Garden, featuring music by Tony Award nominee Lucy Simon, and book and lyrics by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Marsha Norman, will play a strictly limited engagement.
