What started as just a six-week engagement at the Imperial Palace in 1983, Legends in Concert became the longest-running show in Las Vegas history with 40 years of legendary entertainment and over 22,000 performances and counting.  

It’s the most wonderful time of the year in Las Vegas – as the casts of two of the hottest shows, Naked Boys Singing! and This Is Christmas,  celebrated each other on Sunday night.  With American Idol alums and local Vegas performers in both shows, no introductions were needed between these very friendly casts.

Las Vegas headliners, performers from Broadway, and American Idol take guests on a heart-warming, magical holiday journey performing This is Christmas at The Palazzo Theatre at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas through Dec. 26.

The Venetian Resort announces the return of live entertainment with “This is Christmas!” – a holiday show with a stellar cast of Broadway stars and “American Idol” finalists at The Venetian Theatre beginning November 27.

Miss Asian North America is taking over The Venetian Las Vegas for a collection of events in honor of its fourth annual pageant with delegates from all over the United States and Canada. 

"Raiding the Rock Vault" celebrated its debut at The New Tropicana Las Vegas on Friday, Nov. 7, with a star-studded red carpet event, where Las Vegas celebrities joined rock legends for a special kick-off party. The sold-out show, which pays homage to rock's greatest hits from the '60s, '70s and '80s, was met with standing ovations by the enthusiastic audience who welcomed the show to its new home at the Tropicana Theater.

The 4th Annual NF Hope Benefit Concert was recently held in Las Vegas. The success of the event can be seen in the numbers. Over $82,000 was raised at this year's event.

Performers from the Las Vegas Strip and beyond came together on Sunday, Oct. 19 at The Sands Showroom at The Venetian Las Vegas for one special mission - to raise awareness and funds for the disorder known as Neurofibromatosis (NF) for the Fourth Annual NF Hope Concert. Spearheaded by JERSEY BOYS star, Jeff Leibow, the afternoon affair included performances by noteworthy entertainers, including Veronic, Clint Holmes, American Idol finalist Jasmine Trias, Ben Stone, Kristen Hertzenberg, stars of Jersey Boys, Cast of Million Dollar Quartet and the Cast of Rock of Ages.

Over the past few years, Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch have been taking Cast Party, their 'extreme' open mic, all over the country. This past week, they took the Party to Las Vegas for the sixth time. The venue, once again, was the glorious Smith Center, a half-billion dollar performing arts center that has become a vital force in the Las Vegas musical and theatrical community. LVH - LAS VEGAS HOTEL & CASINO celebrated the return of RAIDING THE ROCK VAULT, Tuesday, March 4, with a black carpet event to showcase the production's new lineup and new songs. Met with multiple standing ovations, the all-star show, featuring'Classic Rock by Those Who Rocked It' - was attended by many local celebrities and notables, including Melody Sweets (Absinthe), Ricardo Laguna, Adrien Zmed (Grease 2, T.J. Hooker), Lyssa Lynne (the band Mr. & Mrs. Smith), vocalist Lorena Peril, hypnotist Anthony Cools, Murray SawChuck, Las Vegas Wranglers President Billy Johnson, Pia Zadora, former boxing heavyweight champion Leon Spinks, Jasmine Trias (American Idol), singer Ben Stone, producer and screenwriter Mylo Carbia, and more. Mark Shunock, who plays Lonny the narrator in the hit musical 'Rock Of Ages,' along with various Strip entertainers wowed audiences and raised thousands of dollars during the fourth edition of 'Mondays Dark' on Monday, February 17th. This monthly charity event held at Vinyl, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino's intimate music venue will donate100 percent of the ticket proceeds from the Monday's show, which featured the music of Queen, to The Saint Therese Center HIV Outreach. On Wednesday, October 9, Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch took their freewheeling open mic night, Cast Party, to The Smith Center in Las Vegas. It was the musical duo's fifth time celebrating the always-extraordinary talent pool in Sin City. Scroll down for photos from the concert!

For those who are fans of reality television - in particular 'reality competition' television - last night was a 'must see' evening in the theatre that featured finalists from three of prime time's most popular shows - American Idol, America's Got Talent and, the one I actually, personally, enjoy - The Voice. For me, this 'dose of Reality' was more than a little disappointing. Despite the high quality of the performers, it felt more like a 'high school talent show' than a professional production - and, in fact, I have seen a few high school talent shows that had a more slick and professional flair. It was weak form both a technical and directorial perspective and might as well have been produced at a county fair than in the beautiful McCallum - or, in fact, any other professional theatre. I think at a county fair I would have been more forgiving because the barre would have been set low enough that they might have had a chance of reaching it.

The Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) commemorates its 20th anniversary in the 2012-2013 Season. Engelbert Humperdinck, who performed in the CCPAs first season, returns to kick-start the theaters 2012-2013 Season with concerts on August 18 and 19.

The McCallum Theatre, the Coachella Valley's premiere theatrical venue, will celebrate its 25th Anniversary Season with a star-studded lineup of Classical Music, Jazz, Cabaret, Comedy and a Broadway Blockbuster Series which includes Rock of Ages, Dreamgirls and West Side Story. The season kicks off on August 31 with comedy legend Steve Martin joined by the Grammy nominated Steep Canyon Rangers. This wonderfully eclectic season also includes Pink Martini, Howie Mandell, Barbara Cook, Michael Feinstein, Elaine Page and Yo-Yo Ma, to name a few.
