Photo Flash: Inside God's Love We Deliver's 11th ANNUAL AUTHORS IN KIND Event

On Wednesday, April 9, more than 270 friends of God's Love We Deliver gathered at the 11th Annual Authors In Kind. This literary luncheon, held at the Metropolitan Club, was emceed by Board Member, author extraordinaire and Authors In Kind founder, Linda Fairstein. Linda introduced each guest author, who then took the podium to share anecdotes and remarks about their work to the delight of our many guests. The authors signed books before and after the event, meeting and greeting guests and fans. Scroll down to see some photos from the event!

Photo Flash: Connor Russell, Katie Thompson and More at THE HINTERLANDS Musical Web Series Launch

THE HINTERLANDS, a free musical web series about teenage gay bullying, officially launched on October 28, 2013 at a special event held at The New 42nd Street Studios. At the event, special guest speaker James Clementi of The Tyler Clementi Foundation shared some touching words about his younger brother Tyler and underscored the importance of being a light for young people who were struggling with thoughts of suicide. Connor Russell (Disney's Aladdin world premiere), star of THE HINTERLANDS, performed "Like It Here," a song from the fifth episode of the series. Katie Thompson (GIANT), backed by 13 students from the Professional Performing Arts School in Midtown, sang "Worthy," which will be part of the sixth episode of THE HINTERLANDS. San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus to Open 36th Season with Annual CRESCENDO Gala, 10/13

San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus (SFGMC) announced Crescendo: The Next 35, to kick-off its 36th season,Illuminate, on Sunday, October 13, 2013, from 12 - 3 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel (757 Market Street, San Francisco). After a successful 35thanniversary season, Crescendo provides a sneak peek of the chorus' next 35 years. The Sunday brunch includes a preview of selections from the upcoming season, which will be packed with enlightening world premieres and dazzling divas, in some of the city's most beloved venues. With proceeds benefiting SFGMC, Crescendo includes a silent and live auction and an awards ceremony honoring the Tyler Clementi Foundation, KQED, and the Bob Ross Foundationfor their contributions to the LGBT community. Special guests include keynote speaker, James Clementi of the Tyler Clementi Foundation, with musical performances by opera diva and Adler Fellow Marina Harris, violin virtuoso Kevin Rogers and New York composer and singer Lance Horne. Broadway Sings for Pride will kickoff NYC Gay Pride 2013 by celebrating with their third annual Gay Pride benefit concert. The special one-night benefit entitled ' Unite' with join forces with American Idol and Billboard recording artistic Kimberley Locke, Broadway powerhouse Eden Espinosa (star of Wicked, Rent, Brooklyn The Musical), American Idol and Rent star Anwar Robinson and over 20 members of the Broadway community. The concert will benefit the Hetrick-Martin Institute and Broadway Sings for Pride. There will also be special speakers including a message of hope from Steven Guy and James Clementi of the Tyler Clementi Foundation. The night will be hosted by award winning host from the hit show 'truTV Presents: the World's Dumbest' Scott Nevins with staging by Rachele Rommes (Minnesota Timberwolves choreographer). A live auction will happen before the show.

Speaking on behalf of the producers of the new musical BARE, Paul Boskind, who is organizing the series, is proud to announce that the show will host post-performance TalkOUTs throughout the run of the show. Beginning with the first preview, audiences at select performances will be invited to stay after the show to participate in a discussion with some of the foremost leaders in the fight for LGBT equality. These special guests will include Judy Shepard (Matthew Shepard Foundation), The Clementi Family (Tyler Clementi Foundation), Chuck Wolfe (The Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund), Hudson Taylor (Athlete Ally), Mitchell Gold (Faith in America), Travis Wall (choreographer of BARE, "So You Think You Can Dance") and cast members of BARE.

Hosted by the producers of BARE, speakers will include former NHL star Sean Avery on behalf of Athlete Ally; activist Fiona Dawson on behalf of HRC; Executive Director Brent Childers & LGBT and women's rights advocate Roberta Sklar on behalf of Faith in America and James Clementi & Executive Director Steven Guy on behalf of the Tyler Clementi Foundation, as well as BARE director Stafford Arima and choreographer Travis Wall. They will share their personal experiences, speak about their individual organizations and their collaboration with BARE, and together share the message of equality for all. This special event will also include a performance from BARE.

The producers of the new musical BARE (Paul Boskind, Gregory Rae, Randy Taradash and Carl D. White) just announced a celebration of National Coming Out Day and their newly announced coalition with Athlete Ally, the Human Rights Campaign, Faith in America and The Tyler Clementi Foundation to champion anti-bullying, tolerance and equality.
