New York Youth Symphony has announced that after an in-depth and extensive search, John Kilkenny has been appointed as their next Executive Director starting in late March 2024. Mr. Kilkenny follows Shauna Quill, who was Executive Director for 12 years.

The award-winning York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) hosted its 19th Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theatre on Monday, November 22, 2010, honoring Tony Award-winning librettist Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray, Elf). Hamingson) announced that the 2010 Shakespeare in the Park summer season will present two Shakespeare plays in repertory giving audiences eight straight weeks of free Shakespeare. On June 25th, 2008 SPF held its launch party in celebration of its fifth season. This year the Summer Play Festival will be held at The Public Theater on Lafayette Street in New York City. The festival will run from July 1st - July 27th.
