All new rehearsal images have been released for the Arcola Theatre’s upcoming production of Strindberg’s The Dance of Death, starring Lindsay Duncan and Hilton McRae. The productions on 31 May at the Ustinov Studio in Bath, before touring to Oxford Playhouse, Cambridge Arts Theatre and Royal & Derngate, Northampton, before completing its run at the Arcola Theatre throughout July.

Lindsay Duncan stars alongside Hilton McRae and Emily Bruni in the UK tour of August Strindberg's The Dance of Death, adapted by Academy Award-winning playwright Rebecca Lenkiewicz and directed by Arcola Theatre's Artistic Director Mehmet Ergen.

Director of Nuffield Southampton Theatres, Samuel Hodges, today announces the full cast for the company's inaugural production at NST City the world premi re of Howard Brenton's The Shadow Factory, which Hodges directs. Veteran of stage and screen Anita Dobson joins the cast as Lady Cooper/Ma (Wicked, Apollo Victoria Theatre; The Merry Wives of Windsor, RSC; Frozen, National Theatre) along with Shala Nyx who plays Polly. Dobson, known for playing the iconic role of Angie Watts in EastEnders, and Nyx join David Birrell (Fred/Hugh), Catherine Cusack (Lil/Sylvia), Lorna Fitzgerald (Jackie Dimmock), Hilton McRae (Lord Beaverbrook) and Daniel York (Len Gooch) to complete the company. The Shadow Factory opens on 15 February, with previews from 7 February, and runs until 3 March.

 Audiences have just six weeks left to see the critically acclaimed Headlong, Nottingham Playhouse and Almeida Theatre production of 1984. Since opening at the Nottingham Playhouse in 2013, the production has played almost 700 performances across the globe and, by the end of this run, over 380,000 people will have seen the show. Directed by Robert Icke and Duncan Macmillan with Daniel Raggett, the limited run at the Playhouse Theatre must end on 29 October 2016. 

NOW That's What I Call Music!, the world's best-selling multi-artist album series, has announced that they are set to release their first ever NOW That's What I Call Broadway! on Friday, April 29, 2016. The album will feature 18 music tracks from the original cast recordings of some of the Great White Way's most legendary shows. The album features liner notes by David Cote, theater editor for Time Out New York as well as a playwright and librettist/lyricist.

The Almeida Theatre announces the cast for the world premiere of Boy, a new play by Leo Butler, directed by Sacha Wares. The cast is Mohammad Amiri, Osmain Baig, Ruby Bridle, Emilio Doorgasingh, Terina Drayton, Aeran Fitzgerald, Frankie Fox, Ellie Mai Gallagher, Bayleigh Gray, Zainab Hasan, Duramaney Kamara, Asiatu Koroma, Wendy Kweh, Lev Litvinov, Georgie Lord, Angel Loren, Teann McDonnell, Eugenie-Alexia Mulumba, Sarah Niles, Demi Papaminas, Imogen Roberts, Abdul Salis, Morgane Tapia,Peter Temple and Matthew Wellard. Boy will run at the Almeida Theatre from 5 April until 28 May, with a Press Night on 12 April.

Jessica Brown Findlay (Sonya), Vanessa Kirby (Elena), Richard Lumsden (Telegin), Hilton McRae (Serebryakov), Tobias Menzies (Astrov), Ann Queensberry (Nanny) and Susan Wooldridge (Maria) join the previously announced Paul Rhys (Vanya) in Chekhov's UNCLE VANYA, a new version created by and directed by Associate Director, Robert Icke, at the Almeida Theatre. Sacha Wares will be returning to Almeida Theatre to direct the world premiere of Leo Butler's new play Boy, after her directorial success with the critically acclaimed production, Game, by Mike Bartlett, in 2015.  Boy will run at the Almeida Theatre from 5 April until 28 May 2016, with press night on 12 April 2016. Director Sacha Wares is joined by a formidable creative team, including two powerhouse contemporary designers, Miriam Buether for set design (Wild Swans, Sucker Punch, My Child, Generations), who worked with Sacha on Game at the Almeida in 2015, and Ultz for costume (Jerusalem, Hobson's Choice, Fallout, Pied Pier), who will be collaborating with Miriam, on design, for the very first time. Further creative credits include movement by Leon Baugh, lighting by Jack Knowles and sound by Gareth Fry.

Running from 5 February until 26 March 2016, with press night on 12 February, Uncle Vanya is Icke's next production following the critically acclaimed Oresteia, which ran at the Almeida Theatre, transferred to the West End, and recently won him the Evening Standard Award for Best Director.

Full casting is announced for the first major London revival of The Cocktail Party in over 25 years, which will be staged in the main auditorium at the iconic Coronet, and marks a transitional moment in the building's redevelopment as the larger space becomes home to the Print Room's eclectic programme. Directed by rising star Abbey Wright, this new Print Room production of TS Eliot's masterpiece plays from 14 September to 10 October, with a cast that includes Helen Bradbury, Richard Dempsey, Hilton McRae, Chloe Pirrie, Christopher Ravenscroft, John Wark and Marcia Warren.

2012's hit Finborough Theatre play The Fear of Breathing - Stories from the Syrian Revolution by Zoe Lafferty, Ruth Sherlock and Paul Wood will be translated into Japanese and mounted in a new production by One Two Works at Tokyo's Akasaka Red Theatre. It will run from 11 - 17 November 2013, directed by the acclaimed Toshinobu Kojo.

THE FEAR OF BREATHING, the world premiere of a new play based entirely on verbatim reports from inside Syria itself, opens at the Finborough Theatre for a limited four-week season from Tuesday, 17 July 2012.
