Playhouse Theatre Group has announced the entertainment lineup for their biggest fundraiser of the year, ENCORE! The theme is MADLY MARVELOUS: A RETRO BASH. ENCORE will be held on Saturday, May 18th, 2024 at The Hartford Club in Hartford, CT from 6pm - 12am.

THE PIN-UP GIRLS: A MUSICAL LOVE LETTER by James Hindman and Jeffrey Lodin will run at Playhouse on Park November 29 - December 23, 2023. This production will be directed and choreographed by Darlene Zoller, with music direction by Kevin Barlowski. Check out the cast here!

Playhouse on Park kicks off Season 11 With Dan Goggin's NUNSENSE, running September 18 a?" October 13. Revel in the madness of this hilariously funny musical comedy, featuring a troupe of dancing, singing nuns. NUNSENSE follows the crazy antics of five nuns from the Little Sisters of Hoboken convent. When their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, accidentally serves some tainted soup, poisoning 52 of the sisters, the five surviving nuns must band together to raise funds for their burials. The score pulses with merriment and an unabashed desire to make you laugh, with songs and spontaneous comic interludes paced at breakneck speed.

Playhouse on Park is bringing back some old friends from past productions for its 10th Anniversary Gala Celebration! This fundraising event is set for Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 6pm-11pm at the beautiful Gershon Fox Ballroom in Hartford.

Music Theatre of Connecticut MainStage, Fairfield County's professional award-winning theatre company, concludes its 32nd Season with Cabaret, written by Joe Masteroff with music by John Kander and Lyrics by Fred Ebb. Cabaret takes place from 1929-1930, a time when Berlin is transitioning from a center of underground, avant-garde cultural epicenter to the beginnings of Hitler's totalitarian regime and the rise of the Nazi Party. Cabaret will run from March 29th until April 14th- Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 4pm and 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.

There are still tickets available for Playhouse on Park's Young Audience Series show, Curious George and the Golden Meatball (music by John Kavanaugh book & lyrics by Jeremy Desmon), running December 8-16!   Based on the books by Margaret and H.A. Rey, everyone's favorite mischievous monkey and his friend in the yellow hat sing and dance up a storm in this adventure-filled musical.

If you are looking for a wonderfully well-done, dark and layered storyline, with some very fun and slightly scandalous musical numbers, I highly recommend Florida Rep's CABARET. CABARET is a very popular, well-known musical for a reason, and Florida Rep's version of it is outstanding. Get your tickets to see this fantastic show before they are gone!
