The 2013 theatre season brought some truly extraordinary productions, including Pippin, which is still playing at the Music Box Theatre. The revival earned 10 Tony nominations, taking home four awards- for Director, Leading Actress, Featured Actress, and Revival of a Musical.

The cast of Roger O. Hirson and Stephen Schwartz's Pippin -- including stars Matthew James Thomas, Terrence Mann, Tovah Feldshuh, Rachel Bay Jones, Charlotte d'Amboise and Patina Miller -- celebrated the 200th performance of Pippin at The Music Box Theatre yesterday, October 16, 2013 in New York City. Actors' Equity Association ('AEA' or Equity) yesterday announced that PIPPIN received the seventh annual 'ACCA' Award for Outstanding Broadway Chorus. Presented by Equity's Advisory Committee on Chorus Affairs (ACCA), the ACCA Award is the only industry accolade of its kind to honor the distinctive talents and contributions made by the original chorus members of a Broadway musical.

For much of the month of August, Tovah Feldshuh (Irena's Vow, Golda's Balcony) has played the role of 'Berthe', filling in while two-time Tony Award winner Andrea Martin was on vacation. Martin returns to the role full-time tonight, August 27. PIPPIN is now playing at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).

The legendary Betty Buckley went backstage last night at the Music Box Theatre to visit fellow actress Tovah Feldshuh, who's currently subbing for Andrea Martin as 'Berthe' in the Tony-winning revival of PIPPIN. Along with the photo below, Buckley posted to her Instagram: 'Tovah Feldshuh & me after her fabulous performance on the trapeze as Berthe in 'Pippin'. Note Tovah's 'guns'. The producers of the Tony Award winning new Broadway production of PIPPIN have announced that four-time Tony Award nominee Tovah Feldshuh (Irena's Vow, Golda's Balcony) will play the role of 'Berthe' on Friday, August 9 through Sunday, August 11 and Tuesday, August 20 through Sunday, August 25 while two-time Tony Award winner Andrea Martin is on vacation. Ms. Martin returns to the role full-time on Tuesday, August 27. PIPPIN is now playing at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).

The cast and creative team of PIPPIN took home for trophies at last night's 67th Annual Tony Awards, including Best Direction of a Musical, Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical, Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical, and Best Revival of a Musical.
