The award-winning percussion, rhythm and comedy sensation, STOMP will end its (almost) 29-year run on January 8, 2023. STOMP's North American and European tours will continue to run.

Earlier today, the cast of the STOMP 'flipped the switch' to light the Empire State Building in red and white on Thursday February 27, in honor of its 20th anniversary in New York at off-Broadway's Orpheum Theatre. Yesterday STOMP received a "Legend of Off Broadway" Award from The Off Broadway Alliance, the organization of Off Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents and marketing professionals. The award is given for sustained achievement in the world of Off Broadway. Accepting on behalf of the show's creators Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas were original cast member and current New York rehearsal director Fiona Wilkes, and current cast member Jason Mills.

I first saw STOMP over four years ago at another, smaller, Boston theatre. I remember being absolutely amazed at how the performers took what seemed like the ordinary and morphed it into an extraordinary fusion of rhythm, dance, and an innovative style of music...
