 The American Ballet Theatre’s June Gala returned on Monday, June 13th, in-person to the Metropolitan Opera House after three long years. The event featured a special performance of Don Quixote staged by Artist Director, Kevin McKenzie, featuring three different Principal casts in each act. Check out photos!

Last night in New York City, the American Ballet Theatre held its Fall Gala – its first since 2019 – in person at the David H. Koch Theater. The event, which featured a performance and dinner, honored Tony Award-winning producer and ABT Trustee Jenna Segal with The Melville Straus Leadership Achievement Award.  

Producing Artistic Director of North Carolina Theatre and former resident director for the Broadway, Touring and Las Vegas productions of “Mamma Mia!”, Raleigh's Eric Woodall, will be a featured storyteller in Bucks County Playhouse's “Word of Mouth” live stream, that debuts, Sunday, February 28 at 7 pm. 

This month's edition of “Word of Mouth” will also feature storytellers Eric Woodall and Eric Rutherford, and is hosted by NPR's Ophira Eisenberg and renowned storyteller, Michaela Murphy, Bucks County Playhouse's Director of Education. 

Bucks County Playhouse moves its popular story-telling series, “Word of Mouth,” to the cultural arts platform Stellar (StellarTickets.com). Its first edition, “Word of Mouth: Fast Forward” will live stream on February 28 at 7pm, with replays on demand.

Three evenings of the William Inge Theater Festival, May 9-12, will explore the career and works of Carlyle Brown, including a multi-media tribute to the writer's achievements.

Playwright Carlyle Brown is the recipient of the William Inge Distinguished Achievement in the American Theater Award, at the 37th Annual William Inge Theatre Festival at Independence Community College, Kansas. The Inge Festival, the Official Theatre Festival of the State of Kansas, takes place May 9-12, 2018.

Last night The Trevor Project hosted its 2017 TrevorLIVE New York gala at the Marriot Marquis in Times Square. The event featured special performances by Grammy Award-winning rock band Imagine Dragons and Broadway stars Shoshana Bean and Jeremy Jordan.

More than 400 guests joined Olympians and stars of stage and screen to show their support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) students at the annual Point Honors gala the landmark New York Public Library last night. The evening celebrated the accomplishments of Point Foundation's (Point), higher education scholarship recipients. More than $500,000 was raised for Point, the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for LGBTQ students of merit.

CakeWalk, a Chicago-based improv comedy troupe, is producing a weekly late-night variety show that is growing in popularity and proving itself worthy of the name CakeWalk Midnight Extravaganza!

The CakeWalk Midnight Extravaganza! is a variety show featuring a live band every week with a rotating cast of some of Chicago's best sketch, improv and stand-up comedians, as well as tap and burlesque dancers, magicians, jugglers, fire breathers, and other novelty acts. It's a different show every week.

Founded earlier this year by Kelly Gonda, President of East of Doheny Productions, BKC brings together the children from current and past Broadway shows, affording them the opportunity to perform community service and, in the process, instill a strong philanthropic sensibility and foster a sense of community among the young actors and their families.
