Joe Sirola, one of the worlds most successful voice -over actors, film, TV, and stage actor, was honored in the the Metropolitan Room's famous, "This Is Your Night" series last night and BroadwayWorld was there. Managing partner Bernie Furshpan hosted the evening which had performances by Steve Ross, Shana Farr, Gregory Korostishevsky, Eric Rudy Lee Pfeiffer, Jamie deRoy, and KT Sullivan. Jon Weber served as music director.

Russ Weatherford's 'Blacker,' a new play exploring Oscar Wilde's little-known brush with the Dreyfus Affair, begins an exclusive two-week engagement on Wednesday August 26 at Urban Stages, 259 West 30th Street. Directed by David Austin, and produced by Sandi Durell, the premiere of 'Blacker' plays through Thursday September 3. The official opening is also tonight, August 26, at 8pm.

New York Cabaret Community Honors Actor/Director/Photographer RUSS WEATHERFORD With All-Star Show at Metropolitan Room.

The Broadway Ballyhoo, now in its sixth month at The Laurie Beechman Theater, will welcome TONY DESARE, the multi-talented singer/pianist/songwriter who has starred in nightclubs all over the world. Also starring this week at the Ballyhoo: THE ANDERSON TWINS who are bringing a new show, Le Jazz Hot! to 59E59 Theaters for the holiday season. DEBORAH TRANELLI, currently starring at Stage 72 in On The Record, has had a remarkable career that spans TV (Dallas) musical theater, concerts and nightclubs. Operatic Baritone ERIC RUDY, and Broadway Rising Star ALLY BONINO will also join the cast for this Wednesday night's show.

The Best of Broadway & Cabaret come out in support of the Actors' Temple, (est. 1917) tonight, Monday, November 18, 2013 at 7:00 PM. The Fourth Annual Concert Fundraiser will take place at the Temple, 339 West 47th Street. This musical celebration will benefit the theater district historic landmark which has been struggling to survive in recent years.

Performers included Eric Comstock, Baby Jane Dexter, Natalie Douglas, Antonio Edwards, Eric Engelhardt, Barbara Fasano, Terese Genecco, Jeff Harnar, Mark Hartman, Tanya Holt, Sue Matsuki , Marissa Mulder, Christine Pedi, Colm Reilly, Julie Reyburn, Ricky Ritzel, KT Sullivan, Stacy Sullivan, Grace Wall, Lennie Watts & Carol Woods. The Theatre at the Duke Ellington Center for the Arts will present its first Theatrical Salon on Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Prince George Ballroom, 15 East 27th Street. The Theatrical Salon Series will introduce four theatrical events a year. These presentations are designed to give new works a forum for their future efforts.
