The Theater Project Presents BACK CHANNEL


It was the darkest hour of the Cold War. The U.S. and Soviet Union were eyeball to eyeball over the Cuban Missile Crisis, and with the two sides refusing to budge, the world faced Armageddon. Churches were filled, supermarket shelves picked clean, fallout shelters were prepared and school children taught to "duck and cover."

Playwrights Theatre & Bickford Theatre to Present TALLEY'S FOLLY, 4/9-26


Playwrights Theatre, Bickford Theatre and Oldcastle Theatre Company of Vermont are pleased to present Talley's Folly by Landford Wilson. The co-production will preview on April 9 and run through April 26, 2015. The production will be directed by John Pietrowski and features Eli Ganias of New York City and Amy Griffin of Nyack, NY. Single tickets are on sale now: General Admission $45, Seniors $40, Members of the Morris Museum/Bickford Theatre Guild $40, Groups (10 or more) $33 and Students $20. Dreamcatcher Company to Present A VERY SPECIAL (HOLIDAY) SPECIAL, 12/12-13


Kick off the holiday season with the Dreamcatcher Company with their annual irreverent spoof of the holiday specials of yesteryear. If you enjoyed the corny fun of those old-fashioned holiday variety shows starring Donny and Marie, Perry Como and The Mandrell Sisters, you'll love A Very Special (Holiday) Special at Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre on Friday and Saturday, December 12 and 13 at 8:00 p.m. Located at their home at the Oakes Center in Summit, Dreamcatcher takes a break from their mainstage schedule to perform their affectionate send-up of traditional holiday entertainment.

Dreamcatcher & Playwrights Theatre to Premiere 100 YEARS, 10/2-19


Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, professional Theatre in Residence at the Oakes Center in Summit, and Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey of Madison are co-producing the premiere production of Richard Dresser's 100 Years. This dark comedy set sometime in the not-too-distant future has been developed on stages across the country before coming to New Jersey. 100 Years plays October 2 through 19, with talkbacks following the October 5 and 12 matinees.

Dreamcatcher to Host New Play Reading Series, 5/21 & 28


Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, professional Theatre in Residence at the Oakes Center in Summit, will present its annual Meet the Artist free new play reading series on Wednesday May 21 and Wednesday May 28 at 7 pm at the Oakes Center.

Dreamcatcher and Playwrights Theatre Collaborate for SHAKESPEARE IN VEGAS


Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, professional Theatre in Residence at the Oakes Center in Summit, and Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey of Madison are co-producing the premiere production of Suzanne Bradbeer's Shakespeare in Vegas. This new play tells the story of a wise guy with a dream and a discouraged New York actress who attempt to bring legit theatre to Sin City. Shakespeare in Vegas plays April 4 through 21, with talkbacks following the April 7 and 14 matinees.

Producer Allision Ferrier has announced the upcoming Off-Broadway production of BRANDT REITER's new drama END OF PLAY, which will begin performances on April 17th, 2009. END OF PLAY is a thirteen-character drama about Theatre, Hollywood and the cost of dreams. When industry outcast Jack Wells abandons his NYU teaching post for Los Angeles to support his young girlfriend's fledgling career, he finds himself caught between the depth of her ambition and his own tarnished soul.
