The show was fantastic to begin with. The John W. Engeman Theatre's retelling of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol has a refreshing taste to the classic favorite. Centerstage's historic 50th Anniversary Season officially kicks off with AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE, directed by Artistic Director Kwame Kwei-Armah, in a landmark production that takes Arthur Miller's translation of Ibsen's classic and uses it to examine the contemporary media landscape. The Alabama Shakespeare Festival will roll into its repertory season when William Shakespeare's comedy The Merry Wives of Windsor opens on April 13 followed by Henry VIII on April 19. In addition to the openings of these two Shakespearean works, two comedies The Thirty Nine Steps and Travels My Aunt will reopen for the second half of their runs on April 22.
