Amas Musical Theatre will celebrate its 55th Anniversary at its annual Gala Benefit Concert on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Baruch Performing Arts Center.

Amas Musical Theatre and the Amas Musical Theatre Lab, will present developmental lab readings of Falling For Make Believe: The Life and Songs of Lorenz Hart, with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Lorenz Hart.

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer), in association with Kierstead Productions (Jim Kierstead) and Chalant Productions (Lisa Reich), presented a one-night only presentation of The Post-Roe Monologues, a play with music by Mimi Zieman, with music direction by Saul Nache and directed by Maria Torres on Monday, November 6 at 7pm at Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center. Amas Musical Theatre and the Amas Musical Theatre Lab, will present developmental lab readings of Onward & Upward, a new musical based on the play “Up (The Man in the Flying Chair)”, with music by Charlie Romano, lyrics by Will Wegner, book by Will Wegner and Charlie Romano at Ripley-Grier Studios.

The Off Broadway premiere of The Gospel According to Heather, a new musical with a book, music and lyrics by Paul Gordon will begin TOMORROW, Wednesday, June 14 at 7:00pm at Theater 555.

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO HEATHER team invited members of the press to Ripley-Grier studios for a “sneak peek” at the show, before they move into the theater tomorrow to begin tech. They performed three numbers before speaking with the press. Previews begin June 14 at Theater 555. Opening Night is June 22.

The Off Broadway premiere of The Gospel According to Heather, a new musical with a book, music and lyrics by Paul Gordon is scheduled to begin at Theater 555 (555 West 42nd Street) on Wednesday, June 14 at 7:00pm with an official opening on Thursday, June 22nd  at 7:00pm.
